Used to bartend back in college.
Worked at a 5 Star French Restaurant called the Bagetelle in Dallas.
Uzo was one of my getting ready to close the bar drinks.
I had one for each hour before closing from 12am to 3am. Courvasiei at 12am, Irish Cream at 1am, Kaluha and Coffee at 2am and Lemon Tequila at 3am last call.
My buddies would stop by the bar and ask me what time it was and I would do one on the house.
****-faced out the door by 330am.
Now you know why you be fam.
Love this! I always thought of a bartender story...
My mother was the head bartender at The Driskill, back in the day.
I was 14 and she converted the living room into a bar, while she was doing the course to take the license exam.
She would make drinks and have me time and taste them.
I got tipsy a few times when she got happy with her work.
I have a few stories about the Driskill too. Had to hang out there a lot, waiting for her shift to end.
Ah... Me ma. What a great/terrible, yet GREAT influence.
I miss her.
