one postive is we can save often injured guys in tnew and felix from return duties..:)

I don't worry about Felix getting hurt on special teams. I worry when he's breaking off a run and is in open field and someone grabs him from the back.

Anyone that is subscribed to a 9ers forum should go ask their thoughts.

Is this dude any good?Didnt he play for the Stillers?
He stunk out loud for the Steelers. Don't know how he did with the niners.

Doesn't Rossom return kicks also???? If so, that could mean less Austin on kick returns and more of him on the field!!!!!! Also with Marion and Felix battling injuries right now it's nice to have a back that's pretty good on special teams also.

Well, good time to bring him in. He'll get a full two weeks worth of work to get ready for the Falcons.

LOL he could play tomorrow if we had a game.

You will be missed Cletis.

I think this has more to do with KR than PR.

1. Ogletree was less than average, and he was there because Austin was starting.

2. Fragile Felix, who should be returning kicks, can't stay on the field for more than 9 touches, so we probably want to replace him on the KR too.

And Rossum is simply just a dynamic returner.

He averaged 26.8 yards per kick return last year, and 14.9 yards per punt return.

Those are  numbers.

He was 6th in kick return average (with at least 30 returns) and 2nd in punt return average.

And I've actually seen the dude play. His acceleration is awesome. No more watching Crayton jogging.

wow! i'm suprised we actually tried to fix the punt returner position. hope it works out.

Ok I found some of the 9ers fan reactions.

http://forums.49ers.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=82253

They seem upset we got him.

I went to that link and an link within that thread to another thread of the same topic.

Seems like multiple posters said he was a class act.

Not sure if that helps us out or not but seems to be a plus. Also one person stated that he always wanted to play with the cowboys so that could be a plus in him wanting to do well.

How many times has Crayton lost the #2 receiver job now? Seems like 3 or 4.:

I like the move because Austin can play his #2 WR spot, where his skill-set (excessive speed, although a moderate route-running ability and hands) matches the position. And Crayton can move back to his #3 slot WR spot where his skills (no speed, although an above-average route-running ability, and good hands over the middle) match that position.

Pretty sure this means that Sensabaugh will be back when Atlanta rolls into Cowboys Stadium on the 25th.

Cletis Gordon-DB- Cowboys Oct. 13 - 5:07 pm et

Cowboys released CB Cletis Gordon.
He was just signed last week. Dallas needed an option on punt returns, so Allen Rossum will take Gordon's place on the roster.
