I saw a video of Schoonmaker and Lewis working out on the side. Schoonmaker looks ok and does not have any special shoes. I bet he could be activated next week.
I think you are right. I think he will practice soon and play in the preseason.

Well, Jake Ferguson better be good this season. I saw every snap he played at Wisconsin and I was never impressed. Perhaps he magically becomes great.

I mean, with Jake and Hendershot, what could possibly go wrong?
I watched Jake Ferguson at Wisconsin and he was the 1st player that I mocked to the Cowboys I was very impressed with him.

And which games did you "watch" him play? Because I saw every snap of every game. Many in person in Madison.

So, Jake was the "1st player" you mocked to the Cowboys? Interesting. Do you usually start your mocks with players that were picked 129th in the draft? Or did you have him going to the Cowboys in the first round?

Let me know what games you "watched" and then I have some follow up questions. Really interested in finding out more about this story. This is fascinating stuff.

I watch players each year that I think the Cowboys might like. I watched Ferguson's career highlights and I felt that he would be a player that they would be interested in. I was impressed with him. I thought that he would be around a 3rd round pick and put him on my list.

Let's review.

Could have gotten a tight end later in the draft. Zach Martin is holding out. Could have gotten an offensive guard that is sorely needed regardless of the current circumstances in this year's draft.

This guy drafted in the second now looks like a red shirt, that didn't impress in the passing game in college.

Maybe he will be an excellent special teams player.

Jake is a very average athlete. He gets by on smarts and playing hard. He is a horrible blocking TE with decent hands. Good dude that will never be a highly impactful TE in the NFL. Jake knows that.

I didn't see much of him last season, because the only full Cowboys game I watched was the game they lost to the Pack. Even in a disappointing season for the Packers they beat the Cowboys. Not a shocker.

How about watching what happens on the field. Schoonmaker will be practicing soon. They liked Schoonmaker more than any guard that they could have gotten at that spot.

That’s just because they have overvalued TE for a long time

Of course not because you do not understand probabilities. Overtraining does not always cause injury; it increases probability not certainty. Again, study it.
"Overtraining" is not a main cause of Plantar Fasciitus. "Overtraining" just exacerbates the issue once you have it. Again, flat feet is the leading cause of Plantar Fasciitis, because the plantar fascia gets stretched away from the heel when bearing weight. Extremely high arches can also cause the issue.

Plantar fasciitis in athletes is often the result of overtraining.

You can post all the articles you want. Everyone who over trains does not get Plantar Fasciitis. The actual cause of it is the plantar fascia getting stretched away from heel and causing a strain. The leading causes are flat feet and or high arches.

ANY injury can happen while training. Training or doing a lot of training does not cause injuries.

I never said everyone who overtrains gets it. Try again.

And overtraining is a major risk factor for tearing the plantar fascia. Thanks for giving the definition though.

The etiology of PF is unknown, but predisposing factors include overtraining, obesity, pes planus, decreased ankle dorsiflexion, and inappropriate footwear.2

Keep with the unsupported assertions and I will support mine with evidence. Wishcast that he has flat feet despite the medical checkups at the combine.

You are posting articles about what not to do once you have it. Yes, training a lot with it will cause it to get worse. Thanks for informing people.

Have a nice day! Too funny!

Word is he will be ready before the end of camp.
A players gets hurt and they keep moving the timeline.

That doesn't sound familiar?

In any case, many projected him to be the starter. He's going to lose a lot of time and training. That can only lower his effectiveness for the season.
