Yes, I certainly do. Schoonmaker should be a good player. A complete tight end.
To say you love the pick is ridiculous. Too strong a word. Hope is better.

Good player? Maybe but hell probably be 26 when we actually get a good season out if him.

and you love every pick. then there is the guys we passed on that factor in. Will be interesting to watch.

I don't have to find it. I know that you did. Did you forget?
doesnt matter, ill say it now. Anyone that says they “love“ the pick based on his missing all of the programs is either lying or they are a moron.

thats far different than saying he is bust or he wont be good. Im still holding out some hope. Its just probably not going to happen till next year.

and dont come crying if the kid has 3 catches for 70 yards in tne 8th game. when hes won the starting job and consistently playing well then we can talk.

I believe my take was based on missing most of the offseason he is largely becoming toast for this season making a big impact.

his returning to action this week is nice to see.

As far as me calling him a bust of a pick thats a made up lie.

but the cry baby homers always exaggerate anything that isnt glee and promotion.

so tell me do you love this pick?
Never claimed to love the pick. You never said bust...but your opinion is pretty obvious with the words you used. I just try to stay from absolutes. This guy sucks, this guy is going to the Hall of Fame...before they have played a game.

He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

So if its obvious then what is my opinion?

Yah, all that missed time is making him so likeable. LOL

If you understand the complexity of the TE position you might be more concerned about his ability to make a big impact this year. If for nothing else he has established no rapport with Dak whatsoever in the offseason.

But dont worry. My opinion can change very rapidly if and when I see this kid play in live games. If he has great talent, I will know right away and say as much.

So I saved you the trouble. Here is the exact discussion:

A bust? LMAO. The idiocy here never ends.
As is anyone who loved this pick

Im quite clearly disagreeing with both stances and calling them out. Anyone who says he is a bust is idiocy as is anyone that says they love the pick.

The message is that liking the pick is somewhere in between bust and love but neither extreme.

Didn't watch any games or look at his draft profile did you? Did you just look at his receiving stats to determine your opinion?
Do I look at productivity? Is that the question? Yes, I do.

I can't possibly watch every NCAA player going into the draft play so I never watched him play or most college players play. I throw whatever game is on and have it mostly going as background noise. Did look up some of his profiles after the draft. I also throw on some YouTube stuff after the fact and watch some of the videos others post here.

Let's not pretend like anyone is going much above and beyond that and studying thousands of hours of tape on hundreds of players leading up to the draft. There's a reason draft bio sites exist and it's because it's a full time job.

I dont see his lack of production as that big of a deal. It would have been nice to see more, but his team was a running team.

To me the two biggest issues against him are his age of 25 and the fact that he has been hurt through all of OTA's mini camps and the first week of TC. Including any throwing get together sessions with Dak and the other guys. With his complicated position you really need all that time and practice in order to make the needed impact your rookie year to justify a #2 selection.

I noticed Schoonmaker getting first team reps and catching a touchdown from Dak on what appeared to be 7-7 drill. He is a big guy and ironically reminds me of Dan Campbell. If he makes it through the rest of the week I bet he plays against Jacksonville.

Pick should have been a o-line guy...
For the 1000th time, there wasn’t one there they liked for the blocking scheme they planned to implement. The big mauler everyone wanted was one of the lowest rated OGs in the entire draft when it came to pulling which is a huge part of the power running style they plan to use. Pre draft rankings do not match up with team specific wants and needs for a particular position. This is a great example of that.
