Schotty gave a Good First Impression

I don't know how successful Shott will be, but his introduction as HC went pretty well.
He displayed some sense of authority and didn't seem a Deer in the Headlights person who knew he wasn't up for the job.
He didn't seem to be wearing Rose colored glasses and just a puppet for Jerry who was more cheerleader than coach.
The players, at least the Offense, seem to support the hire displayed by their presence at the Press conference.
I'm more worried about the resources player wise available to him being his biggest hindrance than of his coaching ability.

These press conferences mean nothing. It’s all just words. Nothing he could have done or said today would have changed anyone’s mind about anything.

Who he hires to be on his staff and then how he performs come next fall is all that matters. Eberflus at DC is a quality start.

Yeah, I feel a little more at ease about him. Not to mention he's paid his dues and does deserve a HC opportunity. That said, I am curious if and how much help the Joneses will give him. I love that he wants to put emphasize on the run game and the playaction. That plays to our team's strengths.

Up on the podium answering questions doesnt mean much to me.

Schotty tried to say the right things but, at the end of the day he cried at his presser , which is nice and a human emotion is understandable. but not in football , and not at your introductio.
it is ok to cry while retiring or reminiscing, but not at your first introduction. Looks weak and too soft .

Just stop. There is a reason why he bounced around and never got a shot.

I've been vocal in my displeasure over the HC search. But, I did like what Schott had to say in regard to the offense and the use of more motion and tempo. He seems like he knows what needs to be done. He obviously had an impressive interview....... I just hope he didn't pull a Garret and sell the jones morons on what they wanted to hear.

He did, despite of Jerral and son.

I don't think he came off very well. He was much better and more confident in his weekly coordinator PCs. Frankly, he seemed kind of weak today.

Hopefully it was just first-day nerves. I just hope this stage isn't too big for him.
A guy with words was at a loss for words. But when he talked about football he lit up talking about the offense
