Why is Jerry so focused on Jason Witten?

Two words. Luke Schoonmaker.

I'm concerned if Witten is on the coaching staff as OC, he will lobby hard for us to draft Ty Warren, the TE out of Penn State with the 12th pick.

Again though, Jerry may just want this out there to gauge fan reaction, so it could have been purposely leaked.

Obviously Schott would be agreeable to any and all of what Jerry expects and wants. He has no other options. Would be even more if a puppet than Wade or Garrett.

Does the rest of the staff cater to the HC or the HC in waiting who could be their future boss?

How do you attract quality assistant coaches to Dallas for a brief 2-3 year stay?

What message does this send to players knowing their HC is a temporary puppet?

And at the end of the day, who is to say Witten is worth all of this? What if he's another Garrett?

There really needs to be an organized boycott of this family starting now. We are in unprecedented territory, fanbase needs to fight back.

Being a HC is more about being a LEADER not the x's and o's.

Witten was a fan favorite, so jerry thinks fans will stick with him.
And keep in mind guys, jerry isnt hiring a HC to make a winning team, like SB level, he just wants media attention, and someone
who can get the team in playoffs. Thats all jerry wants.

Well so far, yes. Jerry has not hired, nor, retained any of the current staff, that contracts has expired.

Yep. Just like with Garrett, Jerry will hire and then promote a former player whi he easily controls and thinks since they are former Cowboys the fans will buy into it.
