No Marinelli said TJ Watt didnt fit as a 4-3 end and reached for a lesser rushing talent in Taco to fit the need instead of taking the obvious better talent. Im all for defense, but im not reaching for another Taco Charlton to make sure we get a position of need.

What people don't talk about with Shultz is his crazy ability to break tackles. Don't know how many times he was 5-8 years short of the first with 3 defenders there and here somehow gets the first.

Schultz has been phenomenal this year.

One of the biggest bright spots this season was the emergence of Dalton Schultz, who has proven to be a formidable TE and of starter quality. No reason to waste a top draft pick on a TE, give Schultz the offseason to improve even further and we got ourselves a reliable TE.

As desperate as this team is for new blood on defense it would not be shocking if Pitts TE from Florida was by far the top rated player on their draft board at 10. Remember this is Jerry we are talking about here.

We have both. Schultz is a legit player and drafting Pitts is a clown move. Though I'd bet you Schultz outperforms Jarwin next season.

Schultz got a full year of starting with no receiving competition at TE. Jarwin got half a year having to drive Witten off a Garret coached team.

When McCarthy/Moore got to choose between the two this year, it was Jarwin, and not any question about it.

He is really good at his job and he’s not terrible at getting vertical but he can eat up all the underneath coverage.

I’m still shocked that I’m saying this but Schultz is not a jag. He’s an above average NFL TE.

Agreed. The dude was basically all but forgotten about until he was pressed into playing. Love how he fights for YAC.

Would rather have Farley or Surtain any day. We’ve got three good TE’s. It’d be utterly ridiculous to bring in another unless you’ve already got a trade partner worked out for Jarwin or Schultz.

I would not use a top 10 pick on a TE this year
With our WR’s we don’t need a pro bowl TE and we have way too many other needs

Yep, the WRs are a reason *not* to make a big spend on a TE. Also, the TEs we have as well.
