So I was doing my usual a few minutes ago. Going over to the team website and admiring the roster, when I decided to check out the staff to see if BT Jordan is an official staff member. (He is not or at least isn't included there)

That's when I saw this. ...(and if this place wasn't tailored toward 5 year olds there would have been several profanities just then)

Now maybe I've been out of the loop and this is news to nobody else but I was today year's old when I found out that little dweeb that's been hanging around the war room for too many years, Charlotte's son, the guy former Zone member boozeman (RIP) dubbed Spalding many years ago, is an actual official scout on the staff. College and Pro. Like he sits in on meetings and pretends he's a legitimate talent evaluator.

Why wasn't I told about this?




I guess "my mom's mom is your wife" was pretty impressive on the resume.

Did you know? I'm holding you accountable. He's being groomed for a future GM role isn't he? You can tell me.

Is there no end to the complete nonsense of this infernal family?

It's just pure nepotism. It runs thick within this organization.

It's Cowboys fans and brand momentum that makes the Cowboys so valuable. This is in despite of Jones. The Cowboys are losing money from what they should be worth if the franchise wasn't a 30+ year joke.

Opens a discussion on perhaps sometimes why being poorer makes you more richer as a person. Very long time ago dated a girl that I didn't know that her family was extremely wealthy until I got over to their house for the holidays (she actually warned me about her family for the first home visit to her parents). We're talking old school billionaire type rich, Rolls Royces and big multiple yachts type deal. Girl was a great girl, would never know she had money. I moved around a lot during that time for my career and things didn't work out due to my priorities at the time, but we still remained friends for a long time, although I've lost touch with her being married for a couple of decades now. The reason for getting sidetracked with this story is I remember one thing about her family other than being the most wealthy family I've met in person and socialized with. It was the most F'ed up family I've ever met. EVERYTHING was about money, everyone was jockeying for position for a piece of the family pie who really didn't actually work hard. Guess that's why I liked her so much, she had access to this family money but wanted no part of it. Guess my only point is sometimes being wealthy can make you clueless on what is really important in life. I can only imagine being at the Jones house over the Christmas holidays lmao.

Either way - nobody is shocked here. Our salary cap/contracts expert was literally a manager in a restaurant before his buddy from Arkansas, Stephen Jones, poached that talent out of the workforce.

He probably knows more about scouting and running the team more than anyone on here. All the couch wanna be GM's.
He grew up around it.
Now did he learn bad habits from it. Or did he learn how not to do it the family way.

He is a scout, it is not like he is running the team from the get go.

I would argue that some here are equally knowledgeable or capable.

Couldn't they hire a former son-in-law of another football family....just get some new blood in the mix?

There nothing like having "Jones" as your last name to ensure you are qualified as a "football guy" and can "work" for this organization. I wonder if this Jones will be accountable if we don't make a deep playoff run?

Eagles' scouting is at least 3.5 times better.

The Eagles have the best GM in the NFL and that's the consensus in the NFL. Just look at the playoff results, the only metric that matters.
