I have a hard time with Lynch, love some of his traits. But the guy never stands in the pocket and makes a throw. Always has to move, rollout, etc... Sure that is part scheme, but hard to evaluate him. Those type of QB's that aren't pure pocket passers rarely succeed in NFL

I think that's a product of poor oline play.

Add to that a staff I have no faith in identifying, developing, or coaching up quarterbacks and I see a recipe for disaster. It's a big factor in why I prefer Goff, who I think is the closest to a finished product with the best college coaching to this point.

I like all 3, Goff, Lynch, and Wentz. I would take either Goff, or Wentz at 4, but I would rather Dallas trade down out of the 4th, somewhere in the 12- 15 range, to grab Lynch. Or trade back up in the 1st for Lynch.

I don't like that plan because it presumes too many things, like Lynch being available when you want/need him to be and also that a staff that has struggled to identify or develop quarterbacks could so so with a player in need of a lot of development.

You're totally correct. A lot of presuming to believe you can trade down and still get Lynch, and this organizations inability to draft/develop young quarterbacks. I guess I have blind faith, that they will make the right move, or I have a screw loose somewhere.

Big guys don't eat well in college. Hard to put on weight eating Ramon Noodles everyday. Tyron was a 285lb Tackle @ USC, because he couldn't eat a proper diet to put on weight. He looked like a TE playing Tackle. Look at him now!

What on earth are you talking about? Have you never heard of the "training table" available to big time college athletes? These guys could power down 20,000 calories a day on the school's dime if they so desired. That's what was so comical about that UConn basketball player whining about going hungry because he couldn't afford a pizza (disregarding the money he was surely making under the table). He could gorge himself silly on the school provided meals and not want to even look at a pizza afterwards.

Players like Tyron Smith have the team nutritionist working with them for an ideal diet as well. Some metabolisms makebut harder to put on weight despite all of these factors but the idea that a scholarship player is languishing on Ramen noodles is lunacy.

Would like him at pick 15 if we trade back.

Really, a trade back to about 15 MIGHT enable us to really make a huge splash this year and fill a lot of holes on our team. If we trade back to 15 though, that pretty much ensures that Goff and Wentz are both gone, and some team might be desperate and trade ahead of us and take Lynch so we would have to be willing to risk getting none of the Big 3 this year.

On the plus side we would likely be getting 3 or 4 picks out of that trade down, possibly including the Ram's next year's first to trade down that far.

Drew Boylhart (The Huddle Report) calls him a bigger version of Aaron Rogers. Says he has the ability to re-write the NFL record-book. Has Lynch rated as his #1 QB and #4 Player in draft.

(Edit) Here's his write-up (PARAPHRASED)...

Paxton Lynch QB Memphis

Paxton is a bigger version of Aaron Rodgers. He has a very strong arm, and can make any throw. He can throw with touch or power. He can also throw with accuracy while under duress or on the run. He's a long-strider and covers a lot of ground quickly as a runner. His agility and ability to slide in the pocket is what reminds me of Aaron Rogers. He can slide in the pocket, extend plays, and throw with accuracy from any release point. He has excellent leadership skills and the ability to deal with pressure on the field, but also stay humble with confidence and deal with the pressure off the field. If you need a franchise QB look no further and don’t pass on selecting Paxton in this draft. He has the potential to re-write some of the passing records in the NFL...

I like the sound of that, but there's a little voice inside my head saying "not after Wade Wilson is finished with him....."
