Seahawks vs. Falcons game thread

I didn't want to post this same question for fear of ignorance.
Can you start blocking before the ball is thrown?

A WR/TE can block before the ball gets to the target receiver if they are within 5 yards of the line. This is the rule, but WR should know to be conservative and be certain that they are well within the 5 yards because I've seen it flagged several times when it appeared that they were at about 4 to 5 yards.

On the other hand, I've seen players get by with blocking past 5 yards before the reception. My guess is that some refs call it differently than others. It has to be really hard to see the block and the reception at the same time to know if the block was early.
 
Falcons fans assured me that their defense is actually good, it's that teams only get yards and points in "garbage time"
 
Sorrry but if we beat Green Bay tomorrow....we are going to the super bowl. We crush both of these teams.
 
I realize I'm reading a lot into two coughs on the sideline but is R. Wilson sick?
