Sean Lee Helped Off Field ***Left knee injury per JG***

Jason must have gotten some serious sun the last few days...his face and hair are almost the same color.

This totally sucks.

Yes, it does. It will really show if they did the right thing with Hitchens or not.

All in all, if there is a positive to things like this and there rarely are is that it happened now and that there is time to find a replacement, either internally or externally.

Wait and see, but it isn't sounding too good. I was really hoping it wasn't the knee.

No, people here make an instant judgement that sticks with a player forever. They invest so much energy into that they would rather be proved right than see a player actually succeed.

I don't believe anyone would rather be "right" on a freaking message board about the durability of a player than have Sean Lee starting 16 games this year. Some of you guys get so caught up in our debates you forget we're all Cowboys fans.

And our worst fears have come true. The knee. We should have known that Lee probably wouldn't be so pissed if it was an ankle or something.

He looks shocked to me.

I think it is the video or the color on my phone. His arms are comically orange to the point of it having to be a video issues or color issue on my phone.

All you can really do at this point is laugh. There is a higher power that does not want to see the Cowboys succeed.

Sean Lee is getting his left knee evaluated, Jason Garrett said. Garrett said he didn't see the play.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 2m
#Cowboys coach Jason Garrett talking to media, says they’ll evaluate Sean Lee’s left knee later. Players immediately feared it was serious

*cries* Why Sean? Why must you be so fragile?

I'm not sure of all the contract details but I think there is an injury clause or something to do with him playing X amount of games.

Yes it's very incentive laced but still. Having him here and counting on him is not very productive. Jerry keeps having this notion that he will be able to perform and be the leader on defense when he never will. We could have moved on and drafted another young guy to take his spot.

That sucks. You are sort of in a catch 22 when you resigned him to a big deal. A lot thought it was a good deal and it certainly would be if he could stay healthy. Although with his injury, it probably would have been best to let him play out his contract and prove his health. I don't want to blame it on Jerry because you really want to lock up your key players under 30. Although this may prove to be another poor decision by Jerry. I wonder how much money you could have saved if you waited out both Romo and Lee? It would be risky but Dallas isn't going to lose out to a player they really want to retain.

Lets hope for the best. This defense is a mess even with a healthy Lee.

i.e., back pedaling. Keep up, Mister Paint.

I'm not back pedaling. I don't see what's hard to understand. Who do you think of when you think manliest men in NFL history? You think Dick Butkus and Bronco Nagurski. You think guys who had blood dripping down their face as they body slammed someone on the field. What about modern moments? You think Romo throwing with a obvious broken rib, shedding tacklers, almost going down, then throwing a bomb to Dez to win the game. I'm not questioning Sean Lee's man card in life. If he pulls a Ray Rice I would. But I'm questioning his man card on the field.
