I'm with you there, but we passed on him in favor of Hitchens. What that reason is exactly, I'm not sure. But we handpicked him for this situation specifically, so I hope the powers that be have a plan.

Smith weighs 219 lbs, not exactly a basher

What a shame! Should would love to see him stay healthy, but by now I am wondering if it's him and is really just injury prone or is it just sorry luck because the Cowboys can't seem to get a break so maybe it's just their sorry luck!

If I had to bet I would say holloman takes his spot if he is out long term in spite of what they said when they drafted hitchens.

I just want the uncertainty to be gone. We need consistency and guys who are man enough to play football. I'm tired of question marks. If Lee was gonna go down for the season anyway, let's just get it out of the way now. If Claiborne is gonna be a bust anyway, let's just find out now. If Carter is gonna be a child anyway, let's just be done with him now. Give me 22 guys who are man enough to play some consistent football. I want football guys. I want Travis Fredericks and Zack Martins and Dez Bryants and Tony Romos.

I'm with you on the Fredericks, Martins, and Bryants.

It's Lee, not the Cowboys. I love the guys attitude and play but man he is built out of glass. We just can't count on him to stay healthy.

Shouldn't they at some point become "lucky" and avoid injuries?

Should we even expect that as a possibility?

That's not how randomness works. You could flip a coin ten times and come up heads. That doesn't mean the next ten will be tails.

Karma-wise the kid deserves a break, no pun intended

To make matters worse, Lee just hurt his other leg sitting on the trainer's table while eating a taco.

I'd be cool with that, assuming that he wins the spot fairly. Has Holloman ever played mike?

Lets see what it is first guys before we all collectively unsheath the long blades.

If he's out for a considerable amount of time it is what it is. It would suck, because he's a great player when healthy, but MLB might be a need next off-season if he can't go.

I think maybe he needs to learn how to play a little less recklessly in practice, perhaps. But I'm not there watching either, just speculating.
