Sean Lee will play in opener despite knee injury

Yeah im still trying to figure out what the difference was back then....

Me too and I've come to the conclusion that although there were steroid monsters in the 80's everything about training and nutrition has become so nuanced and so advanced that the acceleration and quickness of a 6'4" 265-pound linebacker is so much more now than it was back then that the collisions are just more violent.

I also think that the advancement in training has soft tissue pushed to the edge so the smallest of things can tweak them now.

Just my thoughts and if somebody else has a more conclusive or scientific reasoning I would love to know.

He's got a sore knee you bozos. Talk about overreacting.

Ok...

So far I don't know what to make of taking Sean Lee in the second round. He's only been on the field half the time, at the most.

For a sport this brutal, and a sport that regularly drug tests, why don't we stay away from players with injury histories and drug problems? Especially if we're going to take them in the second round.

Exactly. He will get a few snaps, get hurt and then be done for the year.
I was referring more about how it is stated that everything is fine. When that is the story, you might as well just brace for the bad news.

If we could take Sean Lees brain and heart and put it into another player on this team id be ok giving it to Hitchens. Id say Smith but we just dont know about his knee yet, and definitely dont want to give Jaylon Smith, Sean Lees knee.

ESPN is reporting that Sean Lee will play in the opener despite a knee injury.

That sounds like he's not long for this season.
So it begins with the LB made of glass

Back then they toughened up players with all the practices and hitting they did in practice. They used to tackle in practice back in the day. When I went out to the Cowboys scrimmage it looked like a walk-through in pads. The NFL is trying so hard to limit injuries with less practices that players aren't as immune to hitting like they were back in the 70s and 80s. Preseason was 6 games and starters played a lot but now starters see very little preseason.

in his presser garrett said it just came up last couple days they did a mri and the results were positive for the team. it seems to never change often injuried players keep getting hurt.

But we should just keep drafting injured players in Rd 2 because who really needs second round picks

injured...drugs...or TE's...take your pick for the 2nd round...:D

Lee's the only one who's missed games "every" season with an injury.

Barry Church, Dez Bryant, Orlando Scandrick, Mo Claiborne, Terrell McClain, Demarcus Lawrence....and remember Miles Austin, Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, Jay Ratliff, Kyle Kosier, 100 centers and safeties....?

The guys you can't count on for years are Jason Witten and Brandon Carr.
