ESPN is reporting that Sean Lee will play in the opener despite a knee injury.

That sounds like he's not long for this season.

What is this knee injury? Seems quite secretive as to what exactly the extent of the injury is.

If history means anything, when the team downplays an injury, it's best to brace yourself for something worse.

in his presser garrett said it just came up last couple days they did a mri and the results were positive for the team. it seems to never change often injuried players keep getting hurt.

It will probably be his last game with our luck.

Players play through the NFL season with minor injuries all the time. There is no reason to be worried about it. I get the angst with Sean Lee having an injury history, but you can't freak out everytime someone misses practice.

Guys, Lee has a long history of knee problems. He's had surgeries on both knees and more than once.
When you get ligaments and cartilage issues, they keep coming back and sooner than later he will
be out of the league. They can always do microsurgery but, that is not foolproof as you know and
ligaments can only be repaired so many times. Great players push themselves beyond their body's
ability to handle and when that happens, things give way. Lee is a fantastic, great player but, he's
not long for the NFL. Enjoy him while you can.

There's reason to worry about it with Lee he's not going to make it through the season with an injury especially when the season hasn't even started yet. With Lee it's not if he's going to miss games it's how many. He's missed games every season with injuries. He'll try playing with an injury and eventually they have to sit him.

No more shocking than McFadden, Hanna, Nzeocha, Romo, or the other 10 guys.

I swear, in the 80s training camp was two-a-days with full contact, and guys rarely got hurt. Now, they barely touch each other in camp and guys drop like flies.
Yeah im still trying to figure out what the difference was back then....

Lee's the only one who's missed games "every" season with an injury.
