It would have but I think we go for it and get it on 4th down. We'll never know gladly.

Payton made several boneheaded decision. Going for it on 4th down early in the game against our defense instead of taking a gimme FG? Wasted his challenges early for no huge reason. Just dumb.

That's true,but I think that tells us a little bit more about the league's view of the Cowboys. Peyton knew points were going to be at a premium tonight and he took a chance, it just didn't work out.

Peyton indicated after the game that he thought it was going to be a low scoring game which indicates his respect for the Cowboys defense.
