Dak is not Mahomes or Brady but there have been plenty of average or below average quarterbacks lead a team to the big dance, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Jeff Hostetler, even Joe Namath in the big picture wasn't considered great and there are 1/2 dozen others who weren't as good as Dak or Romo for that matter numbers wise. This team has all the ingredients to make a serious run if we play to our strengths and do not make mistakes/turnovers, Jerry was right to call out Dak, he has 9 INt's in 8 games this year, he only had 10 in 16 games in 2021, we need Dak to not force the ball, play smarter take a loss or run for 4 yards and slide but don't force the ball into coverage, you don't find that open guy throw it away. Our offensive strength this year is our running game by far, control the line of scrimmage the pass will be there at some point, we seem to be doing better on the penalty's, we have a top 3 defense and a very good special teams' unit, we have play makers everywhere you look and we have a top 6 or 7 QB "IMO" who just needs to manage the game and not make mistakes.

To make it to the Super Bowl, Dak is likely going to have to play 3-4 clean games.

Is anyone really confident he can do that?

I'm not.
In Dak's career, his win rate is over 95% IF:
Cowboys Rush for over 100 yards
&
Opponent is held to less than 140 yards rushing

They failed both categories in the playoff loss to the 49ers.

Nah comes down to the trenches ie not have OL/DL have 14 penalties and in critical times just kill drives. lastly come s down to pay calling.askig Dak to overcome that type of team play is insane..weve already seen it this year GB loss play calls and pentys blew that game..some others as well game 1 that GP was horrible..

not worried about the talent, its the other stuff that killed playoff runs.

The season came down to Dak last season, and that's when it was understood this team needs to depend on a good running game and defense.

right i guess that all you watched in that 6 point 9er loss?? if thats your take make an appointment with your optometrist. the team made a lot of mistakes, not just Dak.

Dilfer, Johnson and Hostetler weren’t the differences leading their teams . It was their generational elite defenses .

And Namath shouldn’t be included in this group as he was a HOFamer who did lead his team and was a huge difference .

Namath for a few years in his prime was one of the best QB in his era. Injuries set in and his career stats don’t measure up but for about 5 years he was one of the best and Elite.

I suppose you may have had to live the era to appreciate Broadways impact and talent level.

Those guys all won titles led by the defense and a running game. The big thing they didn't do was commit stupid turnovers. Totally agree with that aspect re: Dak.

I don't care what he's paid. $40 million won't turn him into Mahomes. Lean on the run and the defense, but Dak absolutely has to stop with the weekly pick (or two).
Yea, apparently just because Dak is over paid for his talent level some fans expect him to be Elite.

As the season comes to an end this club lacks Heart and Nastiness, and these two items are what's needed to win playoff games. Look for the Boys to be kicked to the curb by Brady and the Bays in their only playoff appearance this season!

Maybe for two postseasons.. but overall? Not so much. He was one and one in 4 of his 6 trips to the playoffs. We all know what happened in the other two. But Eli had four playoff games in which he failed to reach 200 passing yards. His career completion rate in the playoffs was 60.5% and his second Super Bowl run should have ended in San Francisco if Kyle Williams could just field a punt.

Check this out.. Dak's career completion percentage is 60.9%.. both he and Eli have a 2-1 TD to INT ratio.. Dak has a higher yards per attempt 7.2 to 6.9 and an overall higher passer rating 87.9 to 87.4. Oh and Dak has yet to pass for under 226 yards in a playoff game.

Long story short.. Dak has performed slightly better overall in the playoffs than Eli.. but has a losing record because he hasn't gone to war with a superior defense in the playoffs yet. Hopefully that changes this year.
Honest question - do you not think it sounds slightly ridiculous to say a QB who has accomplished nothing in the playoffs has outperformed a QB who has 2 titles and who was 15/2 TD/Int in those title runs?
