Season has not started and all I hear is complaining

Most of us that frequent this website are more than casual fans. Some adjust their expectations accordingly and some don't. We're far removed from the days when Landry & Co. ruled most of the NFL. Those who fail to adjust their expectations aren't guarding their expectations and their emotional stability well enough. I think it's best to do that and most of us should too. Of course, it's not required for those who don't mind wallowing in their displeasures.
So basically what you are saying is that you just have to lower your expectations after such a long draught?

LoL. Actually I have raised my expectations again and that's the way to go after almost 30 years of nothingness. I mean, in the first years after a SB success it's okay to reach for lower aims in a rebuilding phase. I would say even up until 2016 I was like "ok, give them time".

But why would I grant Jerry the luxury to give us all this crap even longer? No sir, especially since last season, when the talent was there, it's superbowl or bust. Now I'm not saying they have to win it this season, but at least a deep play off run to show the ship is steering in the right direction again is the absolute minimum.

Maybe that early success has killed the hunger in Jerry to win it all. And maybe this is the air the young players get to breathe when they enter The Star. But I haven't lost mjne, sorry.

So 'boys, how about giving Tom and the Bucks a whippin today, because revenge is a dish that is best served... uhm... on gameday? :)

I'm sure it's fair to say that my expectations have undergone a reality check that we're not what we once were before Jerruh took over things.
I admire your fighting spirit and will properly promise to adjust mine to expect more as we prove being able to win more playoff games.

Yeah mean, don't go with half assed goals. Hold Jerry and the boys to the highest standards. They have done it, others have done it, they can do it again. 12-5 seasons are worthless without the proper post season show.

Holding Jerry and Stephen to the highest standards is an exercise in futility, at best. If the last two decades, going on three, hasn't convinced you of that, I hardly know what to say to convince you otherwise. They are, quite simply, arrogant fools who are very delusional that they're football guys and will never submit to doing what we, as mere inferior fans, would like to see. They're perfectly content to be rich and famous, by all appearances.

Nevertheless, I enjoy being entertained by what limited football they have to offer, since entertainment has proven to be all they intend to offer. That's merely what rich peckerheads do when they're incapable doing what it takes to manage a professional football team successfully in the NFL. Some things never change. Unfortunately, that just happens to be one of them, from all rational observations. I'll temper my expectations 'til they prove otherwise.

I think we basically mean the same though. It's not like I'm expecting them to change anytime soon. But that won't stop me from being unsatisfied with what they are showing on the field. I won't celebrate 12-5 seasons like the homers here do or Daks (so far) worthless stats. And it's not just winning or losing.

Actually the loss vs Tampa last year was pretty inspiring to me. I thought after that game "yeah this year everything's possible" because of how they lost. With Dak coming of that brutal injury facing the reigning SB champ on the first game n all they gave TB a true run for their money. That was cool. At the same time I couldn't understand why everyone celebrated the wins against the pathetically weak NFCE teams so much.

So they don't have to beat everyone in the regular season. But a few contenders on the way. And why not start today? :) And look at how they play, how they manage clutch situations and how focused (aka disciplined) they are and it'll tell you how far we can go each year. And I will continue to not accept dumb penalties, a QB that looks like a deer into the headlights when trying to read a D or a run game that only knows how to smash his featured RB into a wall for 3 yards. Micah can't save it all, they have to do their part.

So I do think we rate this team very similar. But I'll just never be ok with 12-5 seasons when they are being followed by 0-1 post seasons.

Why is it that you guys always have to use Brady, Rogers, Mahomes to make a point?

Are you crying because we dont have one of them? How do you get one of those? Sign me up.

Easy..Tank this season and go 1x16. You will get one in the next draft. That's the way it's done.

To be totally honest, I'm not complaining, nor unhappy about exercising my fandom and coming here to state the facts as I see them. I'll enjoy the game tomorrow, win or lose, as if I didn't have any better sense than to enjoy it, despite whatever happens. I hope you'll do the same and come away richer for the experience and for simply being entertained, if nothing else. It's great having an interest, anyway.

Not every one of us can have that, although I can honestly say I'm fairly proud of myself for adjusting so well to what Jerry and Stephen have in store for us. As the same token, it won't prevent me from hoping for a win. I'll get over it in the blink of an eye, however, 'cause being entertained was my main goal from the start.

I hope you'll enjoy a winning experience tomorrow night, since that's what makes you most happy. I'll venture off to bed now and hope all this perusing on the internet doesn't keep our our brains too active, so we can sleep. Good luck to us in the upcoming game tonight. ;)

I doubt that was what he meant and you know it. No need to ridicule the thought of finding those 110% through your mind in that deciding moment. Champions usually just don't rely on their talent. They work harder than anyone else, are more focused than anyone else and elevating the play of everyone around them. Just watch The last Dance docu for example (and some good entertainment).

Oh, and one thing they don't do for sure is pouting crap like "this is our best year ever" lol.

You will find fans of any team (in all sports by the way) saying exactly this.

And as far as the Cowboys go, way too many penalties were absolutely justified last season caused by unfocused and therefore undisciplined players pulling the team into the abyss with them.

With that being said, while bad officiating does exist (who would deny that?) it doesn't have anything to do with what I wrote.
Bro, I'm pointing out facts. It's happened too often, especially during key games, where the officials call crappy and highly questionable calls against the Cowboys while refusing to do the same for the opposing team, especially when it's a team led by Rodgers, Brady, etc. Everyone sees it, so why is it so hard to acknowledge and say it? It's the truth. It's on film. One only needs to go back and rewatch those games to be reminded. Those officials shouldn't get a bye just because they are officials.

To each is own - It really doesn't matter to me.. Everyone processes things differently. Besides, can this board exist without complaints??
Absolutely, it can. Problem is the majority just love to complain. I take it back. It's one thing to complain once in a while. Now, it's turned into a constant bunch of whining. Sick.

your the one saying he is trash lol, I have never said that.
Allen ,mahomes, Burrows, and I guess rodgers, are the top 4 qb's IMO and the others are all a step or more down,

I never said it, "but I strongly wanted to show the vast difference between the two". I said, I get it!

Jerry's the owner. Complaining has become part of "the process".
