Seattle Lost

We need to be the better team when it really matters, that's what will define this season. Championships aren't handed out after 13 weeks, you have to finish.

We have a 10 game winning streak. We've been the better team the past 10 weeks.

That doesn't matter we were the better team during the entire 2007 regular season and where did that get us? You may not want to talk about the past but we have a history with them.

I had a feeling that they would lose, made a small bit on it :)

It is not easy flying from the far NW to the lower SE and not feel the effects.

We weren't clearly the better team in 2007 when we played them. We limped in to the playoffs with T.O. being injured and the Giants defense was peaking when they played us.

We beat them both times and faded the final month of the season. At that time we were clearly the better team. Romo's game slumped once Dec arrived and we slumped with him. While we were falling the Giants were on the rise. They peaked at the right time.

We limpled in to the playoffs losing to the Eagles only scoring 6 points then barely beating the Panthers and then getting killed by WAS. Not only that, most of the starters didn't play in the last game and then had another week off before playing the Giants who were peaking. And you probably already know about the Cabo distraction.

Unless Dak and Zeke are going to Cabo before we play them in 2 weeks, I'm not too worried.

How come you think we're the better team now at 10-1 with our only loss being to them but you thought they were the better team in 2007 when we were 12-1 having beaten them both times?

The bottom line is we slumped the final month of the 2007 season while they were peaking. They finished and we didn't.

Exactly but I don't see that's the case this year.

We'll just have to see how the rest of the season plays out but our pass defense has gotten worse as the season has gone on. It's concerning.

Teams that get hot the last month of the season typically are the teams that make a deep playoff run. Teams that struggle and back in to the playoffs are typically one and done.

If we are 500 or below the last month of the season, we will be one and done just like that 07 team. If we post a 5-0 or even a 4-1 record, then we are for real.

We know which category the 07 team was in, only time will tell which category the 16 team is in.

As long as our offense does what it has been doing, I think we'll be OK against any NFC teams. If we end up going to the SB and play NE, I have doubts we can beat them unless they have major injuries.

Sure as long as our offense can keep doing what it's doing and continue to overcome our defensive issues we can keep rolling but that's going to be hard to do throughout the playoffs. Our offense started to sputter out in 2007 during Dec and our defense couldn't win games. Not saying that's going to happen to this team but we have to get better defensively or I don't think this season is going to end well for us.

I don't see our offense splutter unless we get hit with rash of major injuries to the OL. This team is different than the 2007 team. In 2007, once T.O got injured, it wasn't the same. This offense was humming even without Dez and T. Smith. Even if Dak or Zeke gets injured, Romo, DMC and Morris can win us games as long as the OL is intact.

I'm trying to point out you can't just blow them off as an easy win. They've had a lot of success against us over the years and it's been pretty consistent success. They handed us our only loss this season because they have good team and Eli is a good QB. If you can't see that, that's your problem.

Ehh I think they got lucky Week 1. They beat us by one point, due to a few boneheaded plays that ate up a precious few seconds. Zeke was just learning to run with our line at the time, receivers were dropping balls, and our offense kicked field goals the whole game instead of making touchdowns. We are not the same team we were in early September. I think the team, especially our rookies, can't wait to redeem themselves against the Giants.

The media will either play a game of make-believe or look for the achiles heel for Dallas and spare no excuse in glamorizing all but Dallas.

Bad weather actually favors our style of play.

traditionally that is the thought. On grass, having rain or mud or snow...that would favor us running the ball.

but on turf and the usual issue at new york is wind...imo that does not. we are throwing the ball a lot and are picking up third downs through the air pretty regularly. Wind would be a problem for both teams.

I doubt it happens though. There have not been wind problems at the big air conditioner in new york like the old place.

Now when we go to philly if there is rain or snow...that favors us for sure. On grass, bad weather would be good for us there.
