God I wish we could get rid of Whitehead.

TWill is at a great price, hard to get rid of him. I do hope we get another real #2 option in the passing game. A real #2 WR earns his way into being the #2 option, and TWill can't even get past #4.

I wouldn't get rid of TWill, just drop him down the depth chart with someone better with real deep speed. Keep Butler also. Get rid of the Whitehead.
Why do people hate the 5th WR so much?

Dez sucks up a huge part of the cap and constantly underperforms, but somehow the 5th WR is a problem...

Cause he's easier to get rid of than Dez.

Since JG doesn't like to run 2 TEs, we need deep WR corps. Someone goes out for the season, guess what, we see Whitehead. Rather that WR be Butler than Whitehead. Dunbar could run routes, he's also gone.

From what we have seen from JG, we need a deep collection of WRs.

TWill definitely has his supporters and cutting him was never going to be a popular decision but there are only so many rosters spots and TWill has not lived up to his 2WR position. I believe a new face will be coming on board at that position and uproot his security of making the 53 man roster.
Not at all. Williams is about as secure as it gets right now. Bulter - who is on a one year deal - is the one in danger if we bring in new blood. While there is a fair chance of a new face joining us at WR, it is not for WIlliams spot.

Butler was probably signed because as insurance because we didn't know if we would get Williams back. He signed for a good deal less than he was expected to get. He didn't get any takers at a high price in FA, so he came back. If Dallas knew from the beginning that Williams would sign the deal they eventually offered, Butler is probably not on the team.

Putting aside the Terrence Williams distraction, because it's too silly to take seriously, I'm going to go with Jamaal Charles to replace Almo in the lineup if we don't spend a pick at RB. Tramaine Brock probably is off our list at CB...maybe Jason McCourty? Maybe a versatile LB to replace Justin Durant. Not sure if there's anybody out there still who fits that bill anymore, though.

QB would be the other place I'd look to see us add somebody, but the cupboard is pretty bare there, too. Who's left? Cutler? Kaepernick? Both are non-starters here (by that I mean we wouldn't seriously consider either).

Is there any chance McCourty doesn't join his brother?

Butler?... Yes, Brice Butler could very well be the veteran WR that doesn't make the 53 man roster in lieu of TWill. I can see this happening.

I don't know what NE is ever thinking. That's part of Belicheats genius, isn't it?

Well, he wants to got to a contender, reportedly, and he wants to play. That sounds more like us or Green Bay right now. Unless he considers the Eagles a contender, but they have that hole at QB they have to work on...

I think he meant to phrase it "i wouldnt if he got cut"

But its not happening. TWil has been solid and he 'ams what he 'ams.

Butler disappointed me. THan they resigned him. I guess if Garrett is extended, standards are low.
Williams is avery sold second receiver and has made many great catches for the Cowboys. He just resigned a team friendly deal and remains a good, reliable asset.

Butler is above Whitehead on the depth chart this year just like last year.

Jamääl Chärles has an interesting ring to it.

I always liked Charles. Good solid guy. The club SHOULD have drafted him!

If you want to get rid of Whitehead then you have to find a punt returner. Do you take Adoree Jackson at 28 or maybe in a trade down into the second?

Quincy Mcduffie was signed to a futures contract he may take Lucky's spot, go YouTube him. Drafting a returner in round 1 who isn't good enough to start on defense is late years Al Davis stupid.

I hear you...but really...TWill might be the Cowboys #2WR but is option #4 in our passing game. Good blocking WR also.
