Of course, if Deion hadn't built the success he did with other teams he wouldn't have been in Dallas either. In any case, they were both important, so I get why people feel they belong in the ROH. I just prefer ROH guys to have dramatically more success, and spend significantly more time with Dallas than with other teams.
Jerry was mad after some Deion Sanders. That was ALL Jerry. Jimmy Johnson wouldn't have signed Deion. Deion was a great player, but he brought a culture that was detrimental to this team over the long run. I remember Aikman talking about it. Deion was a slacker, but he was so SUPREMELY talented that he could get away with it. But the other corners would try to emulate him, though they didn't have 50 percent the talent Deion did.
But Jerry wanted Deion because Jerry was DETERMINED to win a Super Bowl without Jimmy Johnson. So when Barry Switzer took the job, Jerry knew he would have no blow back from Barry for wooing Deion to the Cowboys.
I'm convinced had Jimmy Johnson stayed we wouldn't have loss to the 49ers in the 1994 NFC Championship game. Johnson and Turner knew how to scheme against Deion.
