Surprised to see Witherspoon listed seeing as I’ve seen him projected as high as 15……

Will any Dallas coaches there, and will any be at the east west shrine game?

We usually hear who the send.

McCarthy was quoted last year as saying it’s not beneficial to send coaches there. So don’t think so. Also doesn’t help that 1/2 the coaching staff was let go and not replaced yet

RB Chase Brown weighing in at 215 lbs is surprising in a pleasant way.

TE Josh Whyle coming in at 6'6 260 is surprising as well, but his arm length for that size (31) is confusing.

Nathaniel “Tank” Dell WR from Houston has been looking very good in practice. Small WR at 5’8 163, but he’s extremely shifty both in route running and with the ball in his hands. Led the nation with 1,398 and with 17 TD’s, and 2nd by 1 catch with 109 (albeit in Houston’s spread air raid). Also graded 94% percentile in terms of creating separation.

One of my favorite WRs in the class.

DeSean Jackson is 5'9 165. This isn't 1990. Dell is a player in 2023
He is, but would Dallas draft him? When’s the last time we drafted a smaller WR fairly
early?

I hope we consider him. He’s not the only one…Dell, Flowers and Downs are all some of the best WR prospects in the class that are smaller.

Not exactly a lot of data on it…Cowboys have only drafted 4 WR’s in the top 4 rounds going back to 2014. 1 of which was Ryan Switzer though.

And it only gets worse, can go back further to 2003 and you can only add Dez, Terrance Williams, and Woody Dantzler to the list. So only 7 WR’s drafted inside the 1st 4 rounds in 19 years- 2 of which did essentially nothing in their careers.

That’s pretty alarming and needs to change

IMO they get hung up on certain attributes instead of just drafting good football players.

Really hope they think outside the box when looking at this years group of WRs.

That being said - I hope the WR position is also addressed before the draft.

Idk. I just know he's a playmaker. Dallas doesn't seem to listen to expert consensus

Can add a role player or make a trade that will likely cost a lot, but there’s not much out there in free agency. Jakobi Myers is probably the best available- after him it’s guys like Juju, DJ Chark, Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman. And won’t be surprised to see the few decent options to get overpaid because of the lack of available talent

Karl Brooks from Bowling Green is another interesting under the radar name at the Sr bowl. Had 17.5 sacks and 30.5 TFL his last 25 games played. Was on the edge at DE a lot in what looked like a 3-4 for Bowling Green but at 6’3 303 with good athleticism he looks like a natural fit at 3tech.

We had some interest in Hardman when he came out
