I wish he would take the risk of throwing into tight windows when the team needs it…..he’s just not that guy.

He's just not that guy both mentality and physically at this point.

He's at the point now that he's so mentality shot from that injury that he'd rather throw it to Noah Brown on 3rd and 3 instead of rushing it for 4 yards.

At least the old Dak would pick up the 1st with his legs if it was there.

In the end we won't know until I say another 1-2 years imo.

It took years for thing to click for Romo and many other quarterbacks. Hell Brady is still constantly learning new tricks and defensive looks as things change through the years / era. Dak is still young and learning. He may very well have something "click" one day but as of right now he doesn't hold a candle to Romo honestly.

What scares me about Dak was he was drafted cause of his ability to run the ball as he is not truly a pure passer. He looked scared to run the ball the entire season. He had his moments but not like before the injury

Well, one thing about Dak vs. Romo is that Dak can check down much better than Romo ever did. Check down Charlie is what Dak is if cover 2 is lingering around.

People that do that will also be the first to burying Dak when our new and fresh QB takes over in a few years.

They enjoy the flavor of the week and will be quick to hop on the next bandwagon while acting like the old one they rode for years is trash.

"Better numbers" doesn't necessarily mean better QB. If you want to trot out stats, you need some context...like how many 1st round picks along side each....just as one example.

I'm not saying you are totally wrong.....but for example....the super bowl stat...Dan Marino has none.

1. Leadership

2. Better quarterback in clutch moments. How many times did Romo choke opportunities away??? Exactly...
3. Availability. Romo was a damn good quarterback, no question. But only when he's AVAILABLE to play.

As long as we're talking stats and you're going to use as who the better QB is then I can only assume that you also believe Dak AND Romo are better than Aikman and Staubach, right? Since they both have better numbers and all..

(*what were Romo's stats in his first 4 seasons in the NFL?? Did he have any??)

(* Did Romo even play in his first 4 seasons? If so, compare the stats. I'll wait...)

4. Cowboys are 31-3 when Dak has a 100+ passer rating.

5. Dak has the sixth highest touchdown-to-interception ratio in NFL HISTORY!!

And to answer your question, no I don't think Romo and Dak are better than Aikman and Staubach. So stop assuming things because thats not a strength of yours.

Now be careful when comparing old timers to current players. Football was much different back then than it is now. Some of those former players from past decades who were stars back then, would be bench riders in today's game.

I disagree with all three but am only commenting on #3

Three of Dak six seasons have been heavily impacted by injuries to Dak.
2019 the pathetic performance in the must win game against the Eagles was written off as due to injury.
2020 total loss due to injury.
2021 missed time and his "slump" was excused as being the result of injury.

2022.... stay tuned.

Yet, people around here act like he was setting records and playing better than Romo ever could have.

Zeke was the one setting the world on fire by winning the rushing title by over 300 yards.

Dak kept that job because we were rolling and I'm fine with that, but to act like Dak was setting the world on fire like they do is just outlandish.

Not necessarily. As we saw in Kurt Warner's breakdowns of the AZ and SF games last year, Dak frequently misses windows because he holds the ball too long. Yes, interceptions are bad and easier to identify as such, but so is a missed opportunity resulting in a punt.
