Serious Question: Is Dak better now than Romo in his prime?

So i guess we will never know then.

What is the accurate measure now then? Super Bowls or bust? How does Mahomes rank against the great Aikman?
You’re so deep in on defending Dak at all costs that you can’t bring yourself to say Aikman and Staubach are better than him.

You say “I guess we’ll never know instead” and then try and drag Mahomes into it :lmao::lmao:

Dak clearly has slightly better numbers than Romo when comparing their first 6 starting years, but the Romo crowd makes up ish by saying Dak has had better talent around him. Did they forget Romo had a franchise record 13 Pro Bowlers surrounding him barely his 2nd season (2007) as a starter? Plus, Romo had Terrell Owens (top 5 overall WR in NFL history), Terry Glenn and Jason Witten (top 10 overall TE in NFL history). Way much better receiving talent than Dak had (old Dez Bryant, old Terrance Williams and very old Jason Witten). ALL FACTS...but it's pathetic seeing some of the Romo crowd lie once again to try to prop up Romo's first 6 years stats even though Dak's have been slightly better with lesser talent around him to throw to.

Dak couldn’t carry Romo’s jock strap. Romo was better in his first year stating than Dak has ever been at his peak. Romo was better in E. Illinois, and I didn’t even watch him play, than peak Dak.

Did you actually not witness Jason Garrett as the play-caller in NY? Since she did Dak ever play with Jason Garrett calling plays, let alone with garbage blocking, Dak would last about 1 game in that world. Dak running 2 WRs sets as their base offense. Are you kidding me?

A QB that took 1 week to throw a TD in training camp in year 3, in year 7 of an offense streamlined to his mediocre skill-set that required WRs open on their 1 or 2 read, a guy who was setting QC records in futility here when he had average WRs, was a complete joke when Zeke was suspended and so on…

Romo's 2013 contract set the market for qb's just like Dak's did.

No it didn’t.

Dallas FO came to Romo to re-work his contract to create salary cap room.

Romo wasn’t the highest paid QB, he became thr highest paid QB in FRANCHISE history at that point.

So you are suggesting that 2016 team goes undefeated and wins the super bowl?

Not sure how much better they could have been with Romo...
With the year Zeke had yes I believe they go farther and have better record. SB who knows TR would of been better but his track record in playoffs was not good either. Be honest Dak was the ultimate bus driver that year and a rookie who rode Zeke and a very good O. Zeke should have been ROY in 2016. Would it have been different with TR nobody knows but Jerry made his call and went cheap but that’s a discussion for another day.

Romo played in an era where the NFC east was a better division. The NFC east with Dak has been horrible aside from the one year the Eagles won the SB.
Dak does surprisingly well for having probably the worst arm in the NFL of all QBs he lacks velocity and accuracy.
But he gets by on hard work and playing it safe along with a lot of help. His style of play isn't good enough to win in the playoffs because of his arm and ability to read defenses. He takes too long to go through his progressions and is scared to make that throw into sticky coverage.
Romo talent level is superior to Dak as a QB but he was reckless with the ball and that cost the team. In his late years he was getting better with that but his body just wouldn't hold up. The Cowboys had a better chance to go on a playoff run and win with Romo.

This is the era of useless stats. Dak benefitted greatly from being thrown in as a rookie. He had the league’s best OL and RB on the field with him, which allowed him to be in the absolute best situation possible. Romo would have been a much better stat QB if he played these last few years with the same players that Dak has benefitted from. Fans forget that Romo was basically an OC on the field and he was reading the defense down to the last five seconds of the time clock before calling an audible. Romo never had the luxury of playing against the worst division in the league. All of the NFCE teams played very tough against each other, unlike the division teams over the last few seasons. Romo could read defenses and made the players around him much better.

NFCE wasn't the worst division, we just piss pounded the East more than the rest of the NFL.
How is that some kind of point to trash the current, No. 1 ranked offense?

Guess who had more passing yards last season: Dallas or LA Rams?
Guess who had more TDs?

My boy @Ken brought out the receipts. The romosexuals bout to be salty!!! Lol.

I mean Dak is a better qb than romo just with how Dak takes care of the ball over romo. Dak is all around better. Good post

Do you also believe Dak and Romo are better than Aikman and Staubach? Because I'm sure they have them beat in those same stats too.

The QB position, even from when Romo got started, has changed a lot and those stats without context are misleading and is no accurate indicator of who the better player is.
I mean the team has a better record with dak at qb too.
