Watching Warner's Breakdown of the 49ers offense, one thing that jumped out was the defenses eyes deceiving them. All that motion with interchangeable personnel assignments had the Seahawks, in particular, out of position in coverage and repeatedly abandoning contain on the edge. The Cowboys are also very susceptible to overreaction with movement, especially on the edges and in coverage.

Quinn will have a good plan in place for Kyle Shanahan's scheme. He has probably been working on it since the Titans game. The Cowboys D won't get away with undisciplined play Sunday, the talent on the 49ers will exploit them badly. Having success against SF on 1st down will be huge for the defense and that will put more pressure on Purdy to make plays and allow the Cowboys defense to do what they do best...pressure the QB.

Too much emotion won't be effective in this one.
If you watch 49ers you will see Purdy is a 1 read and throw. If the first read isn't there he likes to run around. When he runs to his left he has to stop, set his feet, get his shoulders square and throw. That benefits Dallas, in particular.....Parsons. When they played Seattle they kept running the same play and the ball was thrown in harm's way but Seattle just couldn't come down with the ball. Purdy can feast on play action so secondary needs to stay on their assignments and not fall for the fake

Good. Whatever it takes to get motivated and inspired to beat this team, I'm all for it. I'm still smarting over the (team record) 14 penalties and 5 sacks that we gave up. They punished us with 169 rush yards to our 77. We got pimped and embarrassed on our home field. They need to be thinking about that to get hyped for this game. It may help.

All that revenge stuff goes out the window the moment the game starts - this is just rah rah stuff. Execution and gameplan is all that matters once they get on the field.

Yes, because emotional motivation factors have never been used in any sport to any success. I too prefer my teams to let bygones be bygones.

"Gents- let's take the field with zero sense of urgency with nothing to prove to anyone- least of all ourselves."

When was the last time any of you fired off the few brain cells you have left? Nobody gives a crap about revenge stuff once you are lined up next to your man. Do you think in the middle of a play, a player is thinking "Dang we lost to different players a season ago"?

I mean. Micah sure remembered Fournette chipping him in the first game of the year this year. So yes. I do think players remember certain things.

For this to become a legitimate rivalry again, the Cowboys need to beat them.

This is the game this team has been gearing up for starting in the spring. The loss last year stung, and this is their opportunity to get some revenge and to get to the NFC Championship.
