I will say this, babe who I love has turned into the 24 hour Garrett apologist recently.

He has been driving home the point that romo has to be on a leash at all times and spent last week playing clips of Garrett telling babe that parcells told him this before he left in 07 about 800 times.

Then babe made the amazingly crazy statement last Sunday night that in his opinion the offense under Orton looked completely different and much better. Said that Orton just ran the play that was called and ran the offense better.

Let me just say that I was really disappointed in babe for saying this and it is ridiculously transparent how he and Garrett clearly when he talks to him are passing all blame to romo.

Babe also keeps saying he doesn't think romo will be the same guy anymore and the team needs to be ready to move on.

It's like babe is serving as Garrett's p.r. Guy getting everyone ready for a possible change at qb next year even possibly to Orton and they seem to be blaming everything on romo.

It's really dissapointing to hear from babe.

Does Babe actually think they are going to make a QB change? Or is he saying he wants one?

I can't see that happening. One the contract extension. Secondly, Orton does not give us a better chance to win. For years, we've asked Romo to mask the flaws of the team by ad libbing and outscoring opponents. Orton isn't capable of that. I do think the offense seemed to have less confusion with Orton, but that was a result of less audibles. Sometimes, I think Romo over does the audibles and with what is a young receiving core, that causes confusions and mistakes. Its not like Williams, Beasley, Bryant, Harris have been around Romo like Manning had the benefit of with Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. But the offense isn't better off with Orton.

I want to reign in Tony but then all we're left with is JG/Cally...we're stuck. Maybe just establish an understanding during TC that audibles must be limited, or dictated by circumstance, etc.?

You are down by 21. Why aren't the Colts going for it on fourth and 1?

Oddly it feels like that is what he is saying. Again though IMO this is him sticking up for his friend who everyone is piling on all over.

He also recently said that Jerry forced kiffin on Garrett and that Garrett didn't hire him, which I believe completely.

What I don't understand is why would Garrett put up with this? The only answer I can come up with is he is making as much money as he can before he has to go back and climb the ranks again.

Also babe said going Into this year it was clear who was running the show and making all the decisions.

Sad state of affairs to me. None of this should happen here.

That punt was a horrific decision. It was freaking 4th and less than a yard. You turned almost no chance of winning into absolutely no chance of winning.

Figured the pats would resign blount now he sealed it with this game! That was a great run by him I didnt realize he was so fast. 4tds already. I wanted him in dallas last offseason

Is his contract up after this year? I doubt the Pats re-sign him. Some team will offer him too much money to be worth it for the Pats to match. They will go out and find someone else to do the job.

I've believed JG has been playing JJ for awhile in that he is not threatened while the checks keep flowing. He seems to have an in/edge with the Jones family that they are exploiting or enabling; doesn't make much difference. Where is the pride, etc. Nothing will get him to resign; firing your own brother?

The media won't blame Luck, but 1-2 in the playoffs with 6 INTs is not very good. He gave this game away to the Patriots. A pick-six to start the game. A pick when they were down 29-22. Another pick to seal the game and make it a 21-point deficit.

DAMN, age has not treated Vince Wilfork well. They just showed him on the sideline. If you showed me a headshot of that guy and told me he was 50 years old I wouldn't blink. He's 32.

It really became a sad state of affairs when Jerry came out and admitted that he was keeping Garrett to cash in on all the mistakes he's made. That isn't something you want to account, publicly. Granted, we are all aware that Garrett has made some horrendous decisions. But for an owner to come out and make that comment about his head coach, it really casts a dark forecast.

Jerry has lost confidence in Garrett. Why keep him at that point? He did Garrett no favors by making that comment. And completely undermined him in the process.

You try carrying around 350 lbs for most of your life and see how you look.

Yep those comments in the final month were shocking even by Jerry's low standards.

How can the head coach allow the owner to call you a trainee and just sit back and take it.

Shannahan hated that rg3 could run to Snyder and got himself fired over the principle of it.

Garrett who is supposed to be a task managing intelligent top of the organization. Guy allowed the biggest joke in the league to call him a trainee and just took it In stride.

How do you play for a guy like that?

Agree! Not sure why you would AGAIN emasculate your coach and then expect results. It's also sad that he'd admit that you wasted 3 years in training when you also said these were teams that could succeed.

All this just puts into perspective just how dysfunctional the Cowboys really are. Amazing how they are just polar opposite to the patriots. Its really very depressing.
