Yep those comments in the final month were shocking even by Jerry's low standards.

How can the head coach allow the owner to call you a trainee and just sit back and take it.

Shannahan hated that rg3 could run to Snyder and got himself fired over the principle of it.

Garrett who is supposed to be a task managing intelligent top of the organization. Guy allowed the biggest joke in the league to call him a trainee and just took it In stride.

How do you play for a guy like that?

Next year could be a real mess if the locker room keyed in on those comments and view him as a dead man walking.

I will say this, babe who I love has turned into the 24 hour Garrett apologist recently.

He has been driving home the point that romo has to be on a leash at all times and spent last week playing clips of Garrett telling babe that parcells told him this before he left in 07 about 800 times.
Wait, so he's playing a video of Garrett telling Babe that? Or just relaying the story that Garrett told him at some point?

And you're saying that Parcells told Garrett this? Or told Babe?

Meh, you know how I feel about that whole thing, but I just hate Tony getting thrown under the bus like that. Still say that if anyone thinks Garrett has gotten some kind of raw deal by getting stuck with Tony, let's let him go coach Blaine Gabbert or Jake Locker or Matt Schaub and see how he does.

Said it before, but I wonder if part of Jerry's master head coach plan for Garrett since 1999 or whenever was knowing that so many local media guys liked him and would cut him breaks that they wouldn't other coaches. (Of course the side effect is that Jerry gets more blame.)

Well being a lame duck is a bad situation to begin with.

If shanahan doesn't get hired somewhere he will be hanging over reds head all year.

Jerry is way to cheap to pay a top coaches salary though so I guess it doesn't matter anyway.

All this just puts into perspective just how dysfunctional the Cowboys really are. Amazing how they are just polar opposite to the patriots. Its really very depressing.

You mean the team with more injuries than us and who keep winning? Yeah that is depressing.

Idk. For awhile, didn't we have the highest paid OL coach in Houck recently? And wasn't Garrett commanding 3M as an OC? And I bet we paid a premium on Woicik as our strength and conditioning coach. Seems odd that he'd be cheap on the HC position.

Granted, he might not go after a strong personality again as the H.C. But I guess I don't see why money would be an issue.

The first interview babe shot with Jason in the spring of 07 Babe asked Garrett if parcells told him he had to keep romo on a short leash. Jason responded that parcells told him about 800 times.

Right after showing that clip last Sunday babe said the offense looked better under orton.

What he was implying with the two pieces together was that Garrett's offense is great but this romo guy got to much input and caused all the problems.

It really was terrible to see babe stoop to this. I get that he is friends with Jason and everything but he is better than throwing romo under the bus to promote Jason, I lost a bunch of respect for the guy last Sunday night.

Btw I think I have that whole interview with Jason on a drive somewhere.

I don't think Jerry or Stephen respect the profession of coaching at all after hearing how quickly they went after parcells after he built them a team again. I just think they feel it is all about the players and there are only so many plays you can call.

Not to mention there insistence on being on the radio/tv four days a week talking about scheme, roster spots and injuries.

I think all of the confusion and disarray in our offense comes straight from our General Manager, who according to himself should have already been fired.

Jeez, somehow I missed that. I bet Bill wouldn't like that being put out there, especially that many times. Sounds like something said in confidence. I'm surprised even Garrett would want it out there, although now I guess he would.

I listen to Cowlishaw's radio show sometimes, and he said a few weeks ago that Jerry thinks so little of head coaches that he literally would coach the team if he thought he could get away with it. He knows that would never fly so of course he doesn't and hasn't. But he knows he could never do what the players do on the field. So that's why he has no problem paying star players and having big payrolls, but he usually cheaps out on head coaches.
