I agree that there is much more to future cap than just the current number. Starters signed, renegotiations, cuts, etc….
But we don’t necessarily need him to play at an All Pro level. We need some depth at LBer. Who do you trust on the roster if Clark or Bell gets hurt? We had to force Bell into LBer and luckily that has paid off. Not sure if we can keep doing that if we have another injury. Leonard’s 65 tackles in 9 games this year gives us a guy with experience.
