Should Dak run more?

......of all the runs...the run in Denver where Dak's legs and Back were bent back!....that's the only one where I held my breath a little!...and he got up limping some...it kind of reminded me of the hit Romo took that knocked him out of the game...except Romo was much more fragile , and didn't get up!

Umm, no. Tony got beat up because he refused to give up on a play. I think the only injury he ever got in the pocket was the broken rib vs SF, the rest were on scrambles.

Go watch the games he played against Philly and Washington. He got creamed in the pocket by Jim Johnson and Hasletts' blitzing defenses.

One thing I noticed in the Seahawks-Titans game was the Titans seemed to be good at designing "safe" run plays for Mariota, where the flow of the play leads him out of bounds behind a mass of his own blockers before any of the defenders can build up a head of steam for a kill shot on him.

Dak is too good of a passer for it to be worth making him a high volume rusher though. Cam Newton is even bigger and stronger than Dak, and he looks cooked at 28 years old because he leans on his own running too much and keeps eating linebacker kill shots.

Prescott is too good of a what?

The team should put Dak on the move more.

They don't know what he is. He's a creator, not a facilitator. He needs to be able to make things happen because his pocket passing is not on the level it needs to be for Dallas to succeed without a little improvisation. Get him moving a bit and everything opens up.

You guys have all the answers. Just move around more, Prescott.

The problem with that is it shrinks the field. Less options. A limited offense. I'm guessing the Cowboys would like to run a big boy full pro NFL offense and our "franchise" QB needs to be capable of it.

I liked the zone read the other night just fine. If you're gonna play against an idiot DE, like we did that is gonna attack Zeke every time, take the yards every time!

Funny seems like most of Wentz's big throws come on scrambles outside the pocket.

The last two were kinda scary. He has so many weapons, hopefully they can get more in sync there, to where he don't have to, too often. But, all mobile QBs have an occasional run, to help keep the defenses honest.

Last year it seemed like they had the perfect balance. He kept it in the read option just enough to where defenses couldn't completely key in on Zeke. He was also very patient on designed passes where he wouldn't take off running unless he he had no other option. Hopefully, they can get back to that balance this year.

He absolutely should run more if it's there. Don't turn him into an RG3 where as soon as he sniffs danger, he's off to the races, but if there's an opportunity, take off.

Didn't Dak start out as a runningback? Dude is 240 lbs. He is built to take a hit or two.

I like some runs...but he needs to get down and not take unnecessary contact. Get what's there then run out of bounds or hit the turf. Wilson does that very well.

Every time he was outside the pocket, which is what I said.

Outside of the pocket? Yeh, sure he was. Might want to get your eyes checked. Then again you do call yourself "Blind" zebra.
