Should Dallas just go ahead and tank?

So you think it's stupid for a barely above average team to try and go up against half the NFC that is better than them, just to get a (possible) 20th+ draft pick and for Garrett to stay on the Cowboys?
Are you even listening to yourself?

This is why children shouldn't be allowed in the 'Zone.

What a stupid thread
And here they come. Amarichill is tied with Pappy..they are coming to the finish line...looks like a photo finish.

Wait Amarichill is slowing down. Looks like he is tanking so his buddy Pappy can take the trophy. What a guy...what a guy!!!!!

gimme a break

Ginger is coaching for his job and right now we’re in first place. But yea, let’s go ahead and tank! Lmao! Come on man think before you post. I’m not expecting great things but it doesn’t mean we should tank on purpose with over 2/3 of the season left.

This may be a hot take, but I'm being dead serious. Look at the way we have played against real contending teams. If we even do sniff the playoffs, who's to say we won't slip up and shoot ourselves in the foot again? This Dallas team has already been exposed through the defense (Teams that actually scheme, aka Playoff teams, know that all they have to do is run their RB through the middle or around our line). Playoff teams will pick us apart in the matter of seconds. Garrett will not scheme or game plan for any of these games. So what would be the point of it all? To go to the playoffs just to get blown out and exposed for the 20 gabillionth year in a row that we can't even make it to the NFC Championship with talented rosters throughout the years? Why get such a low first pick knowing darn well this team isn't capable of a Super Bowl? Why not just tank? JG will get fired and we get a higher draft pick. It's a win win situation. Thoughts?

Every time I think people can’t get any dumber, someone proves me wrong...

It'll take care of itself. If the Cowboys aren't as good as those teams they'll probably lose most of them anyway. This team loses the next 4 or 5 games I'll join you on the tank bandwagon. Right now we're in first place and need to right this ship. I'm getting too old to waste seasons even though JG is a waste.

You have an interesting avatar, one combining Dak Prescott's head with Captain America's body.

The fictional character Captain America is not a quitter.

The real life Dak Prescott is not a quitter.

Why do you have an avatar, which symbolizes not quitting, and associating it with an act of quitting?

I think the OP has had too many participation trophies in their past.

This is such a stupid question, asked every year.

If the Cowboys unintentionally miss the playoffs with this amount of talent on the team then Garrett needs to be gone for sure. But, in no way do I think that the players should come together and decide to tank on purpose to get rid of Garrett. Despite how they have been playing over the last 2 weeks, I'm sure that all of the players on the team want to go to the playoffs this season. And nothing I have seen proves that they dislike Garrett so much that they would lose on purpose just to have him fired.

If we tank, JG (for sure) isn't going anywhere... The only way he could be gone is if we legitimately lost every game (not tanking but just not being coached correctly) but even then, yes, his current contract ends this year but nothing is stopping Jerry from just renewing his contract at the end of the year.

Jason Garrett is not going to tank in the last year of his contract.

Jerry Jones is not going to approve tanking as there is no guarantee he is around for the next season.

Players don't like tanking as their careers are relatively short.

MOST fans don't like tanking and that affects ticket sales.

The team did not quit against Green Bay and they weren't just trying to pad stats in the 2nd half, they were trying to come back. They just played poorly. Look at that Green Bay game back when Phillips was HC to see a team that quit.
