He'd have already been in had putting him there not directly conflicted with Jerry's agenda of taking credit for rebuilding the team in the early 1990's
It's ridiculous to say it was Jerry who recruited all those coaches, engineered all those trades, hoodwinked Mike Lynn out of all those draft picks, talked Casillas out of retirement, traded a weak-***** QB like Steve Walsh for real draft picks, scouted all those ex-Florida players, or rode his team hard when they needed it time and again.
Jimmy's charisma dominated all those other strong egos and created one of the greatest teams of all time.
It's a tragedy he didn't stay and win four Lombardi's in a row like everyone in the sporting world, fan or otherwise, knows he would have.
