Should Romo retire?

Yup. My total bad. I went off the pasture for a minute and now I'm back N'Sync like a rabid Justin Timberlake.
You my boy Blu.

Aha it's all good brother. That's one of the drawbacks of the Internet, it's hard to portray tone. Especially with all the actual idiots who frequent this board :muttley:

In a couple years, yeah. He's taking a real beating over his career. You don't want the guy to walk off the field handicapped and addicted to pain medicine because he's completely broken down. We need to win a superbowl soon so him and witten can ride off in the sunset happy.

That would be a day I would take with me to my grave.
I could get Alzheimer's and forget how to poop, but my brain will make sure it remembers Romo and Witt walking off that field, trophy in hand.

This is not a question for you to ask or for you to answer.

I can ask whatever I want. I am not proposing he do so, but it is something for thought. If the idea scares you, don't be snotty about it.

Romo doesn't know what throwing the ball away, meaning, he is susceptible to unnecessary crushing blows. How long do u imagine his beaten up body can handle it?

Tony has taken a beating over his career; not David Carr bad, but bad.

He has had two broken collar bones, broken ribs, cracked vertebrae, ruptured disks, punctured lungs, Brittany Spears crabs and forced to have Free Reign on his iPod so please his line.

The question is at what point does all this become less important than the quality of life? He is really going to suffer as he gets older.

Romo is playing QB at another level right now. He is a maestro back there. He will come back and lead us to the SB in the next couple years.

I agree

Agreed. But he has taken one hell of a beating over the years. He keeps coming back, but there comes a point when he will have to say "enough".

I said last year that he only has a few years left. I'll stand by that. The Cowboys must start thinking about the future. Romo is not going to last forever. Saying that though, I don't think he'll retire. I think he has a couple more good seasons if he can avoid injuries.

Get a grip dude. He only broke his collar bone. Jeez.

I bet his wife wants him to retire. I'm thinking 2 more years. And yes, Dallas cannot go another draft without taking a QB on day 1.

Sure they can.
If there's not one worth taking in the first round, they're not gonna just waste a 1st round pick to appease some fans.

But sure, if a worthy candidate is there, I think they'd do it. Would have done so this year if there had been one. That's a big if.
