Frequent nights spent with Jessica Simpson drained Romo's moxie, along with a great many other things. As a result, Crayton stopped on that last potential touchdown route because he did not feel Romo had the strength remaining in him to throw that far. As a fan, I am saddened by this lack of commitment, but as a guy....

Thanks for answering ...and I was dead serious about the question. Now that it is the off season, I have time to go back over certain teams (especially the Eagles) and try to figure out what went wrong, how it went wrong, and what would it take to correct those areas/things.

The Eagles had a very bad 2007 regular season; but it could have been worse. However, I seriously believed that the Cowboys were on their way and had the capability to defeat the Patriots.

Here's a follow-up question ...

Without taking the draft into consideration, do you believe that the current acquisitions/trade interests will solidify those areas of deficiencies needed to resolve those areas you need to move forward into the 2008 post-season?

Before I answer your question let me remind you that "the eagles have never won a Superbowl."

Sorry, its just one of my all-time favorite things to say/type. Very very tough to beat. It's right up there with... "I just won a million dollars" and "that was a great ****job"

As for the original question, I'll give you the answer you most want to hear.

YES, I believed we were destine to win this past SB.

I did not see an NFC playoff team beating us.

I also felt the Pats we're primed for an upset.

TNew was on Sportcenter yesterday and they asked him this same question. His response was overconfidence. They had beaten the G-Men twice already and thought they could just show up and do it again.

Well, they really haven't done much in free agency other than signing Zach Thomas.

He should be an improvement over Ayodele if he can stay healthy. He should at least bring some leadership and veteran work ethic to the team.

I don't think the team has many glaring needs, and I think most if not all of those needs will be filled in the draft. The Cowboys do have two first rounders so that should help a lot.

I see the Pacman Jones deal getting done, and the only other possibility would probably be Detroit's Roy Williams.

If those two happen, this team would surely be a Super Bowl favorite.

Heck they probably are anyway.

This team just wasn't ready to win it all. There is a lot of youth on the team who tasted their first real success of their pro careers this season. They didn't have the hunger you get from tasting the appetizers but not getting to eat the main course. They should have that this year. I do think this team needs someone to step up on the defense and set the tone of a take no prisoners mindset.A fired up defense, more experience for the young guys and the bitterness of falling short of potential this year should add up to nothing less then an NFC championship game appearance next season.

The Thomas one has the potential to be big, both as a nose for the football tackler and as a locker room veteran leader.

And it sounds old and cliched by now, but it really is true - signing the guys we had (flozell and Hamlin) really gives us the oppurtunity to keep the team together so that they can continue to build upon what they worked on together last yr. The Pacman thing, can turn out to be huge, as cb was our one real area of "need." (other than roy williams retiring)

Good response ...got a chuckle out of it! Coincidentally, one of my all-time
favorite reminders is ...the EAGLES have won 3 NFL Championships!;)

Honestly not that hard when you have about 10 teams or so in the whole league.

This is intriguing ...

Taking into consideration that it was just time for the partiots to lose that one game, the Cowboys handed out spankings to the Giants twice!

Giants at Dallas on Sunday, 9/9 ...Dallas won 35-45

Dallas at Giants on Sunday, 11/11 ...Dallas won 20-31

What do you believe was the reason you didn't make the big show?

Why do u disappear when ur team blows then come around to throw lil jabs in?Why didnt the Eagles make the playoffs?who cares?Ur an Eagle fan.Go away.

Oh please, you did not just pull three BS championships from pre-tv age. The NFL in the 1940's was not even a legit professional sport!
You had like 8 teams.

The fricken Arena Football league of 2008 is more established than the NFL of that era.

It wasn't even the equivalent of the NFC Championship.

But when that's all you've got.....
