34 year old Hall of Famers can usually get by with smarts and experience. I want his leadership and work ethic on this defense.

You football logic has left has wanting so for anyone to go off what you say would be a joke.

I rather just run out the young guys lets see what Jenkins, Sandrick and Ball can do and reme, ber burnt toast Henry is still there on one side

Officially or is that your opinion?

Both actually. I'd be shocked if they even consider it.

Newman will be back.

Jones will probably be back.

Why would they go after a high price like Law? They wouldn't. If they make a CB move it will be form off of someone's PS since we did not keep a CB on ours.

I respect your view.

However, there are some teams out there that are really hurting at cornerback. Why isn't he on a team now? There are plenty of teams who could have used him, but where is he?

That is why I have some doubts about him.

Now, I don't have much faith in Ball at this point, either. I just have not seen him do anything but get beat. The injury set him back in training camp.

I was listening on Talking Cowboys today, and reading a few places, and the reason they gave for why he's been unable to land with a team thus far is because he's been demanding an outrageous salary to play.

Now rather that is totally accurate, or not, I can't say but that's what I've heard and read and that he's just now, finally, starting to lessen his demands for the chance to play for a contender.

So take that for what it's worth.

I rest my case on that post

Ty Law may be interested in the Cowboys.

The Cowboys are not interested in Ty Law.

JJ /Parcells battles - I agree with you Hos

Why Parcells is working out Law and JJ will be stubborn and work out some ex Sooner or SEC Safety/DB....instead

Yet back up brinks for an average Roy #11 (Texan) and trade away top 1/2 of our draft to give him $9M a year.

Parcells is too married to his FOBs.

He can have Law. He isn't worth a plug nickel.

Roy will be worth a 6th Lombardi, possibly more.

It's about winning those things. One day I hope you figure that out. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Parcells wasting no time in Miami

After a busy morning of making deals, the Dolphins signed free-agent QB Josh McCown, who started nine games for the Raiders last year, to a two-year deal, $6.25 million contract Friday afternoon. He could start in Week 1 for Miami.
Miami also signed former Jacksonville free-agent wide receiver Ernest Wilford to a four-year, $13 million contract that included a $6 million signing bonus and another $1 million escalator.
The Miami Dolphins stormed out of the free-agent gate early Friday, adding yet another young player. The Dolphins reached agreement with former Tennessee defensive tackle Randy Starks on a five-year, $21 million contract that includes $7 million worth of guaranteed money. The best part of Starks might be his upside. He is only 24 years old.
The Dolphins also have reached agreement on a trade with the Dallas Cowboys that would reunite DT Jason Ferguson with Parcells and give Miami a new starting defensive tackle tandem for the coming season.
Additionally, the Dolphins signed former Jets tight end Sean Ryan to a one-year deal and were expecting a visit from Arizona linebacker Calvin Pace.

Yeah, JJ's an idiot while Parcells is perfect.

Hang your head in shame.

Might not mean much, but they kept Alan Ball..

Yep, and Brown was a CB before moving to Safety. Both are cheap, unlike Law who is a risk on 3 fronts.

age
salary
chemistry

Pass.

The voice of reason.

I don't expect them to even raid a PS somewhere at this point but it wouldn't surprise me either. If we get another injury anything might happen as Jones views this year as a window of opportunity.

What are your thoughts fans?

If we could get the Ty Law from 2-3 years ago, maybe... but this Ty Law is a shadow of his former self...

I'll pass...

Ty Law would bring instant leadership back there in the secondary... Sign him for cheap, I'm all for it.

Tend to agree with this. Adding a vet here and there has worked for teams in the past.

How are you not banned? I don't know that I've seen a post from you yet that doesn't make it obvious that you are either completely ignorant when it comes to football or that you're no doubt a fan of another team coming here pretending to be a Cowboys fan.

I'm not sure which one it is and honestly I'm not sure which answer would be worse.

Why do you continue to pretend to be a Cowboys fan? I mean everyone knows your not... Your not intelligent either if you have seen Roy play and think he is just Average. The only other WR's on his level in the NFC East are Owens and Burress. Don't you feel it is a bit childish and a HUGE waste of time to act like a Cowboys fan on a Cowboys forum for so long? I mean sure there are some Cowboy fans that go to other fans websites acting like fans but not for as long as you have lol. Is your life truely that sad and pathetic. Anyway keep it up because I enjoy your posts. I can always use a good laugh.
