teach our corners how to play zone correctly and how to intercept passes.

Oh so we're are bringing him on to be an assistant DB coach I see...you can't teach hands if they could catch they would be WR's......

Pacman was only one dropping them cause he was the only one who even came close to intercepting a pass.

Is he willing to play in the dime for Ball?

Why isn't he playing with the shortage at cornerback in the NFL?

Can he still play?

I highly doubt Ty Law could step in and be any better than anyone we have right now and that includes ball!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe someone mentioned likely Ball or more than that probably Brown.

I can't believe we are that desperate to rent a guy until TNew and even perhaps AJ get back. Now if we get used too badly Sunday the FO may change their minds. We don't need him IMO. TNew, Henry and Jenkins with Scandrick and Ball are enough esp when Spencer gets well.

I'll answer again, Alan Ball.

A player who's done nothing to this point.

That doesn't mean you throw Ball away whom they kept over Olgesby. See above. I will say I won't throw things if this comes to pass. But I would put a negative on JJs bad side.

I got plastered for bringing this idea up a couple of days ago, only to have NFLN post a DAY later the remarks of one Ty Law himself declaring his desire to play for the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys were smart, they would sign him...SOON.

U shouldn't have gotten plastered. Stop drinking. :D It's not a dumb idea just not a good one IMO. Think about it. AJ who is much better than Law is now had to shake the rust off and learn the system. By the time he does and if he actually can then TNew is back. Maybe AJ.

And those are excellent questions.

You are probably right.

34 year old Hall of Famers can usually get by with smarts and experience. I want his leadership and work ethic on this defense.

I respect your view.

However, there are some teams out there that are really hurting at cornerback. Why isn't he on a team now? There are plenty of teams who could have used him, but where is he?

That is why I have some doubts about him.

Now, I don't have much faith in Ball at this point, either. I just have not seen him do anything but get beat. The injury set him back in training camp.

My contention is that taking a look doesn't hurt.

If Law has a good workout, sign him. If not, don't.

Ok, it seems that patrick watkins has a bulging disc near his neck area, which maybe need season ending surgery, should the cowboys now consider signing ty law, im not fond of courtney brown at safety,

or does someone know of another safety out there that the cowboys could go get in free agency, what do you think now with watkins possibly being out all year long

the article on watkins is in the other cowboys main forum section

I think this would lead us to assume that a roster move will be made.

With Watkins suddenly being ruled 'out' it sounds like something that could put him on IR.

I, for one, was in favor of looking at Law before.

Even moreso now.

Ty Law may be interested in the Cowboys.

The Cowboys are not interested in Ty Law.

oh ok thanks hostile at least now i know, and can look at free agency safeties, now with watkins having a problem the cowboys may need another safety in camp

Officially or is that your opinion?
