Should We Get Ty Law **Threads Merged**

I would like to see the Cowboys at least bring him in and work him out to see if he really is ready to play. If the Cowboys are on a Superbowl run, having a veteran corner like Law would be an asset. Again, only if he can still play AND if he truly is willing to play for a reasonable contract.

Law would bring a championship mentality to this defense.

Probably not wise to start him, especially at CB, but the guy is a savvy vet with great instincts and vision. Law would be the guy I want playing center field on a 3rd and long.

And there are expendable parts on this team to make room for Law. Some may want to keep younger players, like Brown or Ball due to their potential. Well this season is not about potential, it is about production, playoffs & championships.

In any case, I won't shed any tears to be rid of Berger, Justin Rogers or Carp. Dallas can even make roster room by putting Stanback on IR.

he could teach our crappy secondary how to play zone and how to intercept passes

You guys are debating for no reason, the title of the article clearly states that the Cowboys will be landing on Ty Law, which will no doubt flatten him and render him useless.

Basically what you said but a little less clever. :D

Bummer, I'm usually posting on the fly during the day so sometimes I only hit the last page. Guess I will waste my humorless anecdotes elsewhere! :D

I don't know if Ty Law has anything left or not, but you do know that we are about due for Henry's annual 2-4 week injury don't you?

I hope we have a backup plan when that happens.

We can do with_out-law. Sorry.

There is no need to bring him in now unless you're ready to sign him.

There's nothing wrong with grabbing a veteran DB....as long as you have a roster spot and he's the best option.....and he can still play.

I don't think anyone's answered this so I'll ask again. Who are you going to cut?

I believe someone mentioned likely Ball or more than that probably Brown.

I'll answer again, Alan Ball.

A player who's done nothing to this point.

I guess this board is spit about 50/50 on this topic. I posted a few days ago I think we should sign a vet and lots of people jumped down my throat. No right or wrong here. But one thing IS for certain. We're "ok" now, but if we get one more injury to a DB we're SCREWED. If ty has anything left, sign him. He's just depth and another coach for Jenkins and Scandrick; that was my point not signing him because he's a difference maker.

I don't think we can go wrong signing a veteran player with a history of winning like Ty Law. It will help us on the field and in the locker room. May even help Pacman if he is somehow reinstated this season.

I am split with this but the guy has won championships and has the most INT's in plyoff history.
