Should We Get Ty Law **Threads Merged**

I believe the Cowboys are really hurting at the secondary position and need more playmakers that can play and teach some of the younger players some new techniques and tricks to playing the position.

For the right price, I would love to see Ty Law in a Cowboy uniform.

Just imagine once everyone is healthy.

Terrence Newman
Anthony Henry
Adam Jones
Ty Law
Mike Jenkins
Orlando Scandrick

Which will be arguably the best secondary in the league that hasn't put it all together yet.

except A Jones played like crap, and Ty Law hasnt played in 10+ months

no thanks

why not....I mean seriously, like what do we have to lose by signing Ty Law?

we need corners right now. if he came here maybe Jenkins or Scandrick can take something from him.

If we can get him for a bargain, I say why not.

When you have a secondary as young as ours veteran leadership goes a long way, a la Darren Woodson mentoring Roy Williams. It's not just about his playing ability.

I'm not saying he should start, but put him in in nickel packages and rotate him in for a few plays now and then.

If he's asking for mega bucks, however, thanks but no thanks.

Word has it Tuna is going to sign him today

good for him...sounds like Tuna is the only person thats been remotely interested for 10 months

It would be much more likely to see Courtney Brown move back to corner than to sign Ty Law. With RW38 and Watkins returning from injury and Killer Davis also available at safety, Brown could easily be spared for corner duty.

Lets see - 4th CB - Alan (penalty flag) Ball or Ty Law.........

Oh yeah, thats a tough question.

I'm all for bringing him in.

Sign him up.

It'd be nice to have another veteran that can be a mentor to Jenkins and Scandrick.

I am all for it just as long as he is mentoring from the bench. I am totally excited about our two talented rookie corners getting tossed into the fray. This is going to be an excellent experience for both of them and might develop into two rocks at corner for years to come.

Off-topic but, shouldn't it be:
Cowboys a possible landing spot for Ty Law?

BTW I would rather see the rookies tough it out.

Wow, it took someone from West Virginia to point that out. :laugh1:

Just pulling your leg.........

Sad that I have to be the grammar police :laugh2:

I would love the depth that Law would provide, but I don't want to see Jenkins and Scandrick missing out on the chance to earn some valuable playing time. IF we suffer another injury at CB though, we will be forced to make a move IMO. I just hope Newman is back closer to the reported 4 weeks rather than 6 weeks.

What is the latest on Kosier? I know he is out this week. What about next week?

if he comes in cheap i like it. He could be a great mentor for Jenkins and Scandrick:)

IDK why we would want this guy he's not going to play ST and he's going to ask for to much money and he won't beat out Scandrick or Jenkins IMO

What's the risk??? He won't be guaranteed anything signing mid-season. We do need another corner, and could use his experience and leadership. Everbody has been complaining about leadership and he could provide it. At least he's won something!

I think Holt is going to torch Jenkins this Sunday....and if we have Henry on him...he will eat him alive.

Like I said....why not?

It just makes too much sense: get a veteran guy, no guaranteed contract, we are hurting at corner. Makes too much sense to actually happen, but then again, that's what I thought about the RW trade.....
