Should We Get Ty Law **Threads Merged**

i dont see why not either, if Jenkins or Scandrick are better than Law wont start, but its not gonna hurt to have Law as depth.

come on people, we only got 3 active CBs on this team, we gonna play Dime with 3 safetys?

That'd be my guess, too.

I'll admit, right now, that I'd rather they signed Ty Law for cheap then to give Adam Jones another chance when he potentially gets reinstated.

Who are you going to cut to sign someone?

That is really the only question for me. But I don't believe that Courtney Brown or Alan Ball would be picked up by anyone if we moved them to our practice squad.

Ty Law, playing a zone would still be better than Alan Ball even if he had not played in a year. That said , he claims he has been working out to be ready to set foot on the field on Sunday.

I'm pretty sure hes been working out hoping to get a gig........maybe?

Sign him now because he won't be comfortable in the scheme until after newman gets back. Then we'll have some decent depth again.

Scheme? What scheme? The only thing that would make him uncomfortable is playing 10 yards off the receiver against teams running the west coast offense.

I could suit up today and play that kind of scheme.

so how come in a CB starved league, the only team thats even sniffed around him is the one run by the guy that drafted him 14 or 15 yrs ago?

Personally, I'll take the 'has been' over the 'never will be'.

In my opinion, Law right now is better than anything Ball brings to the table.

You tell me Mickey.

Will he play ST's? That's where we are hurting the most, even before the injuries depleted our depth.

LOL! I was wondering if anyone would make that referance. That's a standard answer from good old Mick.

Yeah, it wasn't a slight against David.

It was me expressing my disdain for the blanket "why was he available?" line.

I've never liked it or believed in it.

It is only week 7 - everyone's in the playoff hunt. :laugh2:

Well almost everyone. But none the less by the end of the year that will shake away from Miami. They're not going to make the playoffs.
