Would be awkward, but it can be done. Moving Dak post June 1 would only be an 18m$ cap hit this year, then you can agree to a new deal for Aaron once he joins so you can control what his cap hit is. As long as it’s structured to be under 30m$, you’d save money overall vs keeping Dak.
No, it would be 49M post and 89M pre.

His 2023 salary of 31M is guaranteed.

If they traded him, then it would be 18M post.

Yeah that’s “moving” him as opposed to dumping him. He’s too valuable an asset to ever consider dumping

Why in the world would we want to do that? Nothing against Rodgers, but given where he’s at in his career we should be looking toward the other end of the age spectrum.

In the first quarter Philadelphia dropped an interception Mahomes going in to score at the 20 yard line , I have not heard any talk of that at all
You just did! Good call. All these plays...part of the game. Hard to really pinpoint the most critical ones.

It’s so strange this topic keeps coming up…Rodgers was outside the top 15/20 in a handful of QB metrics last year.

An absolute hard NO for me for these reasons:
  • He’s 39 and it’s starting to show. He turns 40 this Dec. Father Time is knocking. Honestly he needs to retire.
  • The velocity on his throws has greatly diminished. And his deep ball that used to have great touch is gone.
  • I question his commitment to stay in top shape.
  • He‘s one of the most selfish players in the league and could create locker room issues.
He’s a HOFer for sure and one of the FORMER greats of the game. Emphasis on former.
NO THANKS.
Yes he’s older. His abilities seem to me to still be in the top handful of QBs

Don’t see less velocity in the games I saw. Not at all.

I don’t know how to judge this one. Didn’t he play every game or close to that?

His teammates seem to praise him but I agree, from the outside he seems selfish.

It's not ideal. There no guarantee. But it's never going to happen with Dak. So roll the dice.

I mean, as much as there is no guarantee that Rodgers can regain his old form, there's no guarantee that Dak can, either.

Does Larry Fitzgerald actually understand a salary Cap? a no trade clause is Prescott cannot be moved unless he wants to be in his contract is as big as Aaron Rodgers, both can’t be on the same team, and the Packers would have to want Prescott in the trade and accept his contract in Prescott would have to want to go there. even in that crazy scenario we swapped platers and contracts i believe we still owe dak dead cap money for Prescott and its pretty big. Then what when AR retires in 24, we have no qb?
I mean, maybe some of these ex-athletes that I keep their opinions to themselves, because I can’t happen. It’s almost impossible to move Prescott office team right now his salary cap hit, even if trade it would be huge. I expect these stupid scenarios discussed by drunk fans but players and ex coaches? or sober fans in the zone, huh? ITs NOT POSSIBLE

Moving on

The Packers sucked when we played them having lost 6 straight and they beat the Cowboys.
No way in hell would Aaron Rodgers want to play for the Cowboys.
He knows the Cowboys are stuck in the mud. The Dolphins should go for him. They got the receiving core and they can’t count on Tua. He’s become concussion prone. With the receivers Miami has Aaron Rodgers could light it up. Brady might have stuck around had the Dolphins been interested but reports were they weren’t. If any team should go after Rodgers it’s Miami. Pair him with Tyreek Hill and Waddle…wow!
I'm glad, and in NO way would I want him to play for the Cowboys!
