To be frank, I don't expect us to win at Detroit.

It's very difficult for *any* team to win 2 games in a row on the road.

Plus, I hate this matchup. I don't like Megatron on any of our corners or safeties. Bush is a real problem receiving out of the backfield and Pettigrew is a sound TE. Then we have to worry about Suh and Fairley and that's a giant test for Frederick and Leary.

YR

The back:back road win thing is *huge,* you're right.

This is a game where we need a couple big takeaways to even things up. Or maybe another huge ST score. We can beat them, but the cards are stacked in their favor, for sure.

Detroit will absolutely be the favorite. So why "worry" about a favorite when playing on the road? Sorry, but I DESPISE the OP and feel dirty even replying to this SLOP.

This will be the biggest test our safeties have had. Our dbs can run with anyone but the height advantage megatron has is scary, and I agree on Suh and Fairley.

That said, I think we can roll coverage to Megatron and Bush without getting hurt otherwise or stacking the box. Throw in some well timed pressure and I think you can slow them down.

The key in this game is that our offense MUST get things figured out. If we can find a way to protect Romo against 4 man fronts and get them to blitz, then we have some nice options.

They have just has many as weapons as the Eagles if not more and a QB who unlike Foles can put the ball on the money. Add to that a loud stadium and I am very concerned about this game. Of course their defense isn't ranked very high but neither was the skins or eagles and we still struggled at times against those.
Your thoughts?

Yes. They are who we think they are. The Cowboys shouldn't let them off the hook.

Dallas has no reason to fear the teams they face.

They've played better teams than DET already.

But they certainly should be focusing on what it will take to win this game.
The Cowboys are a better football team than people want to give them credit for being.
And a better football team than Detroit IMO.

But it is a road game and there are injury replacements teams can pick on with us.

What bothers me more than anything is that our offense under garrett is just not consistently good on the road. The good thing is that I don't see Romo and this offense continuing the funk they've been in for more than two games.

Worry? No

Respect,? Yes

They have the best WR in the game today, and their QB is no walk over, especially when Megatron is in the game.

This is not a game where we can play single High, and let Carr follow Calvin all over by himself, he will need help. Therefore you will have to deal with guys like Reggie Bush, and Fauria.

They will get theirs, and make us look silly at times.

With that being said we have just as many weapons, if not more.

If it comes down to a shoot out and guns blazing, they don't want that action.

If I where them I'd come out and play ball control, don't let Romo, Dez, and the OC feel like they have to come out and snipe you. Peyton brought that fire, and almost got burnt.

2 years ago we came into the game, and felt like we had to play balls to the wall, and we did and torched them, but instead of playing mouse with the lead, we got cocky and kept trying to step on the lions throat.

I had this as a loss before the season mainly for the back to back road game deal. I think we.ll win now, indoor game, think the offense will come alive after the last couple weeks. I see a 35-24 type game.

I like our odds against Detroit much better than I did against Philly, though the Lions will get better QB play.

I think we can pick off Stafford a couple of times, and that should make the difference...going to have to get pressure though.

On a positive note the Cowboys are 4-3 after their first 7 games compared to 3-4 in 2011 and 2012. The Cowboys didn't have back to back wins until weeks 10 and 11 last season. This will be a difficult game for the Cowboys to win but they are on a bit of a roll so that should increase their chances. The defense has looked better the past 2 weeks although they weren't facing real productive QB's. RG3 has been off all season and Foles was miserably yesterday missing open receivers. The Lions game will give us a good idea of where the Cowboys defense is.

Yes we should, everyone is scared of the Lions, they are only toppled by their SB wins, they are a dynasty in the making, their RB makes defenive coordinators crying weeks in advance. Vegas always loses money on them and when the game is on the line Stafford is money. What can be said of the Lions that hasnt been said already, tehy have no weaknesses, nothing to exploit. They rip teams defeneses like butter, and Stafford is refered to as "ol Lazer arm". Its completely astonishing how they lose, which they only do to appease the NFL. They are a one team wrecking crew. FEAR THEM ALL DAY. Why Dallas doesnt have to even play the game, because this is not known as the sport as "any given sunday" which sadly is becoming almost "any day of the week" as things are progressing. but thats another rant.

Fear the Lions as you would the Roman Empire, for they are unstoppable.

Is the dumb turned off yet?

The lions are like any nfl team, they win, they lose, nothing spectulcar, nothing they are doing that other teams are not doing. Fear them, god awful stupid term, See what happens, thats all you can plan for. Are we going to stop Calvin, I think we can, but if he gets on fire, whos going to stop him? I dont even know their starting RB for god sakes. Is anyone lighting up defenses? Whos their corner thats stopping drives and intercepting qbs?

Detriot is still Detriot? They arent making the SB, and you bet on them like you do the Falcons, you are very very edgy. Nothing solid about the team that makes anyone say, wow, when Detriot does that, forget about it. They are still Detriot and we and any other NFL team can roll into their stadium and do the same thing, outscore them. Are we infinitly better than them, NO. ARe we solid? No, whats our weakness, ourselves, but when we hit fire as well. Watch out.

Basically its going to be two teams, one is going to find their level, the other is going to be talked about for a week. In a word, both teams are "meh".

We better be able to get after the passer with our base rush or Bush will give us issues in the passing game without us spying him. I would feel better with Lee or a safety shadowing him. CJ will get his and mostly against Claiborne I would imagine. Time for the o line to bring some nasty. They should take any hits on Romo personally in this one because Detroit comes to hurt and not just sack.

If they choose to shadow him with a safety I hope it's Church. Wilcox is more athletic but Church seldom misses his tackles.

We are in so much trouble, our D-line is completely decimated and we have Monte kiffen going up against Jim Schwartz. This is the lock of the year, we lose this game.

Ah yes the weekly 'scared of the next team we play' thread. My gosh you people worry about every opponent we play. Shouldn't the Lions be worried about us?

The team cannot afford not to worry about every single team on the schedule.
