Prescott needs to be challenging for the starter spot by next season, or he's not the guy. IMO.

He needs to be challenging for the QB2 role next year. Best case for him is to make enough progress he earns the right to be in contention for a starting job in three years when Romo is nearing the end of his deal. We'll need to use a high pick next year at QB next year no matter what.

It is nothing but dreaming to think that he will ever be a quality stater.

Not at all. Players develop more than Dak has to at the QB position all the time. His problems are mechanical, and he has to learn to call plays and play under center, but he's got the athleticism and maybe the mental makeup to be a good player if he can develop the rest. It's crazy to bet on him, but having him climbing the ladder if he can do it makes a lot of sense. We just have to be careful to not let him soak up valuable reps if he doesn't deserve them.

Thought this was a thread about another of Jerrah's comments on appearances in the shower and bubble man-butts...

The pedigree is there. If Johnny Manziel would've stayed with Oregon, Jameill Showers would've been the starting QB at A&M.

BTW - I read today that Wentz is completely outplaying Bradford in OTA's.

Hope it's not an omen. I like this kid but hate the team. It would be bad for us if he's the real deal.

It won't take long for him to outplay Bradford. Bradford is very overrated. He's done nothing in this league.

big deal its OTAS

While lower level of competition and setting means little about someone ceiling it certainly speaks to floor. Improvement is another good sign. Some players don't, particularly UDFA, and he has shown that he can get better.

Wilson has had very little to work with regards to football talent; he has failed to accomplish much with what he's been given. I don't blame him for McGee's lack of pocket presence and courage. This is a good sign.
