FuzzyLumpkins;2013554 said:more then likely it will be a 5th and a bench player.

Unbelievably weak pick - totally unnecessary. I was PISSED.
Nope. Archer is that far behind...tomson75;2014089 said:I thought we received permission over a week ago....is Archer THAT far behind, or am I wrong here?

Arch Stanton;2014547 said:Not much. FWIW he said that Romo was on board with Pacman being signed.
i hope not i love hurdHailmary;2013485 said:Maybe Hurd.
theebs;2014673 said:Romo and carpenter are pretty tight. It will be a bummer for him if he is the player.
If we are giving up a 1st rounder for a 1st rounder there should be no draft pick. Pacman is going to get in trouble at some point and no matter how bad carpenter plays he will at least play every special teams snap.
Arch Stanton;2014426 said:Matt Moseley just said on GAC that the player is rumored to be Carpenter.
Don't shoot the messenger!
BlueStar II;2014764 said::starspin
:starspin If...the player turns out to be Carpenter, I doubt we'll see a lot on this board shedding tears, eh.
lkelly;2013968 said:How about James McKnight? Traded a third rounder for a player who would likely get cut. You would have think we'd learned from that raping and not thrown two first round picks at the Seahawks the next year for Galloway.
O.J. Santiago? This was an all-time head scratcher. A complete non-factor.
Drew Henson? May have set us back as a franchise at least a year or two. If not for Quincy Carter's drug use (I believe that was a trade up in the draft to land him), it would have cost us Romo.
Trade ups for David LaFleur (dear God, we were fleeced by the EAGLES) and Ebenezer Ekuban (the Seahawks - my how they must have loved us).
There's been a few others that I'm sure I'm missing, but in general I'd love to be on the receiving end of a trade with Jerry especially if he doesn't have Jimmy or Parcells telling him which moves to make.
OILERMAN;2014799 said:Yea I couldnt remember all the trades Jerry was in charge of where he got fleeced. Funny how after Jimmy Johnson left all of the sudden Jerry started makign horrible trades, I'm so sure he was running the trades when Jimmy was in Dallas.
As a Titan fan I was pleased Jerry was the suitor most interested, especially considering Jones was gonna get cut in the end anyway.
stasheroo;2014889 said:Maybe you'll 'luck out' and 'fleece' the Cowboys by giving up a starting-caliber corner and a superb punt returner for a 7th round draft choice?
After having given up a 1st rounder and about $20 million.....
