Cowboys still have intentions of getting Haskins signed not sure why people are freaking out, we have the draft and 5 month before camp. Not like this has to be done right now

LOL

Yes, let's just wait and things will fall into our lap perfectly. Always works well for us.

Truthfully, we need 2 sign a DT now. Maybe 2.
I agree. This is the biggest need in my opinion. I think they need to sign a quality vet and use an early pick on DT. In my opinion Odiggyziggyzu is the only player there right now. Gallimore has been another bust.

It could work out very well for them. Maybe they will sign Robinson if it works out and draft one as well. It sure worked out for Cooks and Gilmore. They worked on Cooks for months.

Dallas has been active in FA and still have Haskins as a priority but it still takes 2 to come to an agreement. Right now do not even know what Haskin mindset is on playing. Meanwhile we still have the draft and FA will still be taking place afterwards. Sorry not freaking out about DT.

They had to trade for Hankins, in the first place, because their run defense was getting gashed. Now they're just sitting on their hands about it. It's insanity. Hankins doesn't want to sign? PEACE. Go grab somebody else, but it needs addressed.

They did a nice job with Gilmore and Cooks. But let's be clear here, they have historically valued CB and WR having used multiple first round picks and made trades for CBs and WRs in the past. DT? Not so much. And the fact they are sitting on their thumbs at DT is pretty much what they do every offseason. And they eventually signed and draft some warm bodies with middling asset usage and then we come back the next offseason and do it all over again.

The fact that Haskins is up in the air right now is precisely why you go out and get another DT now. What happens if the Cowboys just wait on Haskins and he eventually decides he's just done? Or another team swoops in and gives him a bigger offer? Then what? Banking on Haskins coming around in a few months is precisely the silliness I expect from this front office.

The draft? This is a weak draft for DTs. There is really only one in the entire draft that people think is an upper level type DT - Carter. We won't sniff him. Then it's a hodge podge of guys that are more likely 2nd and middle round type talents. Banking on the draft solving your DT issues is preposterous.

They should be all over Robinson now. Or Ford. Signing one of those guys now gives you some leeway when it comes to the draft, etc.

The fact you sit here and say "oh gee, FA isn't over and we have the draft" and think that's sound given they've done this exact thing for who knows how many offseasons and yet every year we are right back saying, DT is a problem. Shoot, even Jerry and Stephen hinted at the run D needing some work this offseason.

They seem right on top of it. LOL.

He is not tied to Dallas at all. He can go sign with any team in the league. So apparently, none have made any offer he is interested in. OR, just maybe he wants to sign late and skip training camp, which seems to be what the cool kids now look to do.
