You were a fan of his game, but weirdly do not understand that his ego and confidence are part of it. You also are acting delusional in the fact that you don't get that the majority of players have the same ego and confidence he did. He just was man enough to put his voice on it.
Only problem about his ego was it checked when it came to tackling. Hard to say my ego is legitimate when you are scared to tackle.

Sucks to hear the bad news about Deion. Definitely one of the most gifted athletes to ever play the game! But he'll never hold a place on the Cowboys Mt. Rushmore, IMO. Deion was the Devil's bargain, the player that is responsible for the 3rd Super Bowl in the 90s but also the primary reason the 90s dynasty came to an end. That 5 year $35 million dollar contract bought a Super Bowl but robbed the Cowboys of being able to resign the depth they had during Johnson's reign.
If a do-over was possible, I would bypass Deion and the 1995 Super Bowl and would have focused on rebuilding through the draft. Any then maybe there would not have been the "playoff curse" that we suffer from today.

DALLAS COWBOYS
FRISCO - The difficult medical news for Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders continues to sadly roll in with the Thursday report that “Coach Prime” is undergoing emergency surgery on Friday for blood clots in his groin.

This note, first cited by The Pat McAfee Show, is another in a string of health issues for the iconic Sanders.

Sanders may also have to get his left foot amputated as he continues to suffer from blood flow problems in the area, according to doctors with the Colorado football team.

The NFL salary cap started in 1994.

Yes and even though we did lose players to FA in 1994, it was Deion's contract that kept them from being able to plug some of those holes.
Sort of like Deek in the 2020s, except Deion produced like a pro.

I've got a blood clotting disorder and know this stuff can spiral out of control really quickly. You live each day knowing you could suddenly wake up to a clot anywhere in your body which could quickly become deadly if it dislodges and travels to your lungs, heart, or brain. From what I know of Deion's current health issues, he was experiencing symptoms of blood clots for weeks before seeking medical attention when this first began, which is very, very bad. The longer you let a clot go, the more damage is done to your vascular system and the probability of long term complications increases.

As a Boulder resident, CU Boulder grad, and huge Buffs fan, I really hope Deion is getting the best medical care possible. He has brought so much life to this city in such a short amount of time.

I know that this originated during the 2021 season when he suddenly lost blood flow to several of his toes which eventually had to be amputated. The root cause was several large blood clots in his left leg.

I wonder if Deion has an undiagnosed clotting condition? It is unusual for a guy as young/ fit as him to have this level of clotting without other risk factors being involved.
my wife has Factor V liden disorder and lives with this daily, taking blood thinning meds and being careful with everything she does. he needs to get some genetic testing done to see if he’s got a clotting disorder.

Hard to find an NFL player that had a bigger ego than Deion. I was a fan of his game, but not a fan of his personality. I remember him talking about how he built that house referring to Atlanta’s stadium. He’s full of himself, but I wish him nothing but the best with his current situation.
He seems like a legit good human being though, the stories I’ve heard about him saving Irvin from himself, work ethic, how he coaches kids, the kind of leader….dude seems like someone who can make a difference for people. That makes me mind less about the hubris.

I agree, he’s a good guy. Can’t recall any off the field issues or trouble he was in. He’s taken a lot of players under his wing.

Does this need to be said in a thread about his emergency surgery?

Can't you guys go talk trash about him somewhere else?
It is OK to talk trash and it won't determine the outcome of his surgery. But I do hope he is ok.

Google him about b$tch slapping a young lady behind a jewelry counter in Tallahassee before the big game. Bowden wagged his finger at him and he played in the game. No doubt boosters took care of everything. The guy is a tool.
