Keep in mind, If Deion was in discomfort and pain for a long stretch, he was likely taking pain meds/prednisone and it may have caused the clotting issue. It can happen. The major side affects from using prednisone is clotting and becoming Diabetic. I'd be interested to learn what meds they had him on prior.

Prednisone changed my eyes to blue from hazel. Even had to change it on my license. One of the obscure side effects, but it happened to me.

That's not good! I wonder if the issues with his foot are the contributing factor to his blood clots in groin. I have a brother in-law who is a world class athlete and he had surgery on his big toe joint and wasn't long after he had a blood clot in his lung. He thinks it was because of the surgery.

I'm 52, younger than Deion, no clotting issues, but man, I had a surgery back in early April on my right foot for heel spurs which involved my achilles tendon being repaired with screws.Dr. was reluctant to do the surgery because he was worried about me having clotting afterwards. I guess because I am at that age. I had severe pain and couldn't walk. In a walking boot for 3 month's BEFORE surgery. I can attest to the fact that all it takes is a surgery and immobility for a time, to change your body quickly. For example, muscle and nerve atrophy, or circulation, limited range of motion. I had to use a knee scooter for a month just to get around in the house to the bathroom. f I was confined to my recliner with my foot elevated in a boot. I am just now feeling like myself. I thought I developed a clot for a while in my lower right abdmen ..thats how dang sore I felt. As we age it takes much longer for us to get our mojo back. This will be my last surgery. Unless I get something life threatening like Deion, I am done. This was an ordeal. My Achilles wont be right for another 6 months. My prayers are with him and his family.

Don't forget as we age the blood circulation in the legs isn't as good and you take much longer to heal along with the risk of infection. Hope you get better quickly.

You were a fan of his game, but weirdly do not understand that his ego and confidence are part of it. You also are acting delusional in the fact that you don't get that the majority of players have the same ego and confidence he did. He just was man enough to put his voice on it.

exactly. My circulation in my lower legs isnt great. I have bulging areas down there. No edema but like u said, iffy circulation. Ty, I appreciate that I at least am off that dang knee scooter and can walk. That was a nightmare. Now its a long haul ahead as far as my achilles returning to normal.

many times, when they do a surgery, how they position u during it creates a big issue afterwards. With my foot surgery they lay u on your stomach and bend your legs like a U shape so they can get at it better. I think they may have actually hurt my hip because of it. So anything is possible.

Like him or not, the guy is authentic. His schtick isnt my thang, but I respect his consistency. Hes always been that guy. Nothing fraudulent about him at all. He isn't perfect, but he believes what he believes with conviction. I luv it.

And, it has worked for him. Lesson learned.

Deion is the same dude he was coming out of college. on many levels, I respect that. He had the highest standards for himself day 1, and has never ever wavered. He and 88 invented swag. This is killing him I bet, not being out there coaching his guys, getting his team ready, as well as himself.
