Google him about b$tch slapping a young lady behind a jewelry counter in Tallahassee before the big game. Bowden wagged his finger at him and he played in the game. No doubt boosters took care of everything. The guy is a tool.
Well that’s no good…..

No doubt, Deion was a punk kid during his college days. He carried that attitude into the NFL during his early years, but Deion eventually matured and changed his ways.

I understand all great players have an ego and confidence, but they didn’t display it like Deion. The day he was drafted he was all decked out like Michael Jackson. Jerry Rice never came off like that and neither did Jim Brown or Lawrence Taylor. Even Deion admitted he went over the top with some of his comments during his career. He referred to himself as Prime Time. His ego was over the top. He blamed it on his youth.
I didn't prefer Deion's ego and braggadocia either. But through his play and braggadocia, he single-handedly raise the prestige of the cornerback position.
Many black kids who used to flock to the quarterback, running back and receiver positions navigated to the cornerback position. Because of Deion, playing corner was cool and corner was no longer an obscure position. I attend enough 7 on 7 and college football camps to know. Deion, Randy Moss and Michael Vick are the three most iconic NFL players in the urban community. They had their issues, but they also elevated interest in the game of football, at least to a certain segment of the public.

I'm 52, younger than Deion, no clotting issues, but man, I had a surgery back in early April on my right foot for heel spurs which involved my achilles tendon being repaired with screws.Dr. was reluctant to do the surgery because he was worried about me having clotting afterwards. I guess because I am at that age. I had severe pain and couldn't walk. In a walking boot for 3 month's BEFORE surgery. I can attest to the fact that all it takes is a surgery and immobility for a time, to change your body quickly. For example, muscle and nerve atrophy, or circulation, limited range of motion. I had to use a knee scooter for a month just to get around in the house to the bathroom. f I was confined to my recliner with my foot elevated in a boot. I am just now feeling like myself. I thought I developed a clot for a while in my lower right abdmen ..thats how dang sore I felt. As we age it takes much longer for us to get our mojo back. This will be my last surgery. Unless I get something life threatening like Deion, I am done. This was an ordeal. My Achilles wont be right for another 6 months. My prayers are with him and his family.

Keep in mind, If Deion was in discomfort and pain for a long stretch, he was likely taking pain meds/prednisone and it may have caused the clotting issue. It can happen. The major side affects from using prednisone is clotting and becoming Diabetic. I'd be interested to learn what meds they had him on prior.

What was the matter?

Sanders responded to that criticism in the interview by describing what he walked into during his first day on the job. That was the day he warned his players that he would try to make them quit and replace them with his own Louis Vuitton "luggage."
After delivering that message, he said he walked into a different players' meeting room and saw were playing music and looking at their phones.
“I go into this one room and music is playing,” Sanders said. “I said, 'Excuse me. What is this?'"

“Uh, coach, we always bring the boom box into our position meeting room," a player replied, according to Sanders.

'I said, 'Have you lost your mind?” Sanders said. “'If you ever bring music into one of my meetings, I promise you we will never see each other again in life.'
"That’s the kind of junk that was going on, and I get rid of that and you’ve got a problem?” Sanders said. "They had no idea what was going on in this mess with that type of foolishness, after I just got finished challenging you as young men, telling you this room right here will not be the room we go to Fort Worth with. I promise you that. It’s going to be a lot of changes. It’s up to you to be one of those changes, and you gave it to me. You put it on a tee."

I saw this last week for the first time and I will say this is what is needed in a lot of young folks life right now. I unfortunately have to deal with to many youths that have lost their dang minds.

i don't know if he took it, but there was something a few years ago that people started calling the clot shot
As someone with Factor V, I did a lot of research on this back when it was new/relevant since I was somewhat concerned about the risk. I could not find any definitive proof that it presented more threat than any other shot. Even had some discussions with my friend's father who is one of the top ranking medical officials here in CO and I found the data he could show me to be pretty reassuring. Apparently there was one brand, which is no longer available in the US, that had 60 cases of serious clotting associated with it with over 18 million does administered (0.0003% rate). Usually these people already had risk factors that made them more likely to suffer from clotting already. Not saying Deion couldn't be one of those people, but the chances are spectacularly tiny.

Common sense says he is 2 young for this to be happening, given his lifestyle as an elite athlete and health nut.
So you're saying Prime doesn't buy a dozen bottles of grape drink and two gallons of ice cream at the grocery store!?!... lol

I saw exactly that in a cart behind me, in line at the store. I asked who's having a birthday party. The couple looked at me like I was crazy.
"Nah, no party, dawg. Just groceries."
Oh well, at least they were together.

I hear ya . I see that all the time. Its baffling the things people choose to do that wreck their health. I know thats not the case with Prime. Thats why its so puzzling. Applying common sense to the Deion sitch leads me to 1 real conclusion, maybe 2. Genes, or the pokie thingy.

Never been a fan, but have always affirmed the best for him. My distaste in him as a public figure has nothing to do with the dread I feel of his successive blood clot issues. I really want to see him kick the clot problems in the *** and one day, I can get back to hoping Colorado dons an 0-12 outfit.
