SI: Top 10 Biggest Hitters in NFL

have you seen all of Roy's biggest hits? nothing Taylor has done, except for that hit on Brian Moorman compares
You are ignorant. Taylor lights someone up every week.

i dont care if roy is #2 or #1. i'd like it better if he was even a average tackler.

Taylor is more intimidating because he may shoot at you after the game.

Wow, talk about homers.

Sean Taylor hits the hardest out of the 3.

End of story.

He may hit punters the hardest

but real NFL players, thats Roy.

Talk about haters. :laugh2:

Personally, they are both great hitters, but without question Williams is less likely to wiff ala Sean Taylor. Tie that with Williams has 15 pounds on Taylor... Physics will give you your answer.

What are you talking about?

He's been making nasty hits on everyone.

Lay off on the haterade.

I never said Roy couldn't hit.

He lays out people too. As does Dawkins.

I just give the nod to Taylor. He's definitely not the best overrall safety in the NFL, but when it comes to hitting he is.

Well, when you form such well thought and reasoned arguments like this, its hard not to agree.

I mean first of all....the plethora of facts.

Then the plethora of evidence.

I mean, how could one disagree?

Ronnie Lott, one of the hardest hitting safeties of all times says Roy Williams is King and is his favorite player to watch.

Could be worse. We could be clueless.

For my money, the hardest hitting, best Safety in the NFL plays in Philly and has for a few years now.

Dawkins is the best on this list, IMO. Yeah, he's getting older but he's still playing at a very high level. When he hits you, you stay hit.

You Timbo, should be ashamed.

Well, if the defense changes the way Wade talks about it, Williams should be clubbing a lot more players this year and I would expect his forced fumbles to return to the days before Woodson retired.

I would have said Dawkins is the hardest hitting a few years ago, but now I have to go with Taylor.

Best safety in the NFL?.....I'd probably go with Ed Reed

( puts head down in shame )

I would like to get that game out of my head.

I honestly didn't see Dawkins on one play during that game. I do remember Considine getting thrown around though.

Anybody can have a bad game. You look at the Giants game last year and Brandon James. He made Roy look like a punk in that game. Seriously, he made Roy look like he didn't want any. I'm not going to say Roy isn't a great player based off that one performance though. To me, the body of work of time says more then just the one isolated game. JMO
