actually I posted links to 3 games where TO caught a total of 4 TDs

considering he only played Springs 7 times thats pretty good right there

go home firehawk

Only Cowboys/Commanders fans would argue this. As if there's a big difference between 1,2,3 on a subjective assesment.

And for the record, Adrian Wilson hits as hard, or harder then all 3 guys and is a regular blitzer.

Are you honestly that dense firehawk?

So because Carpenter sat on the bench last year, he is nothing more than a backup. McIntosh did the same thing, but his future is bright?

Please.

good choice firehawk in letting this thread die, but your miscalculation was that I wouldnt bump it, still waiting on some replies bud :)

I guess no one ever sees his hits because he plays for Arizona?

I tried to cast my vote based on whether, if I were a player, what I'd expect from the three. To my mind, Dawkins is a smart bomb, Roy is a heat seeking missile, and Taylor is a kamikaze.

Roy I would expect to apply his unique explosiveness to zero in on me with a bone crushing blow, using his patented size-angle ratio like a heat seeking missile. Hopefully, we'll see MORE of the 'early" RW this year.

Dawkins I would expect, (reminiscent of TWO retired dbs with the last names of Woodson) to exploit his superior understanding of the game to nail me before a gainer, with astute angling and knowledge of where I would be, and when, and how I would get there. Exactly. What that guy's lost in physical prowess he is still compensating nicely with in experience.

Taylor I would expect to hit with a certain "abandon" (as it's been termed), and as likely skirting the sidelines as full flush on the field, but never with the skill and certainty of Dawkins or the sheer physicality and instinct of Roy. I'd expect to get blown up good if he guessed 'right', but be just as likely to catch his whiff.

Sure, Taylor can hit, and hit hard. But he lacks Dawkins' intelligent chess-like mastery of the field, Roy's physicality and unique ability to hone in, and both the Philly and Dallas DBs' sense of sportsmanship.

Interesting angle LT. I have to say that I agree. The kicker, for me, is that we don't really know what Roy might morph into this year. With this new scheme, he could be the second coming of Jack Tatum. Honestly, he's that kind of hitter. From a physical potential stand point, he's in a class by himself. If he can find a way to just play that style of game, this whole debate is null-and -void. NC, No contest with Roy hands down but unfortunatly, over the past few seasons, that's proven to be a pretty big if.

That's a pretty darn good analysis. Creative, and well said.

Oh yeah, Bobby Carpenter... Wow... I mean, he's the most ferocious bench-warmer in the league.

Nah.

That honor went to Mr Archeleta.

15 yard penalty for unnecessary roughness...uhmm after further review... it was giving to a Commander fan so it was necessary roughness...so we wave off the flag and the play stays as called TOUCHDOWN :D
