Sick Of Dak!

Ya might check Mahomes cap hit the next few years before these claims of discount get too far out of hand. $66 million next year and $68 million the next.

When will you accept that isn't a proven fact? Cowboys could find his replacement next spring.
When will you accept a proven fact that it’s very difficult to find a franchise QB? Go look at how many years KC went between Len Dawson and Patrick Mahomes. Nothing but castoffs and failed draft picks in between. Until the Jets signed Aaron Rodgers, they hadn’t had a great QB since Joe Namath. The main reason QBs are making so much money these days is because it’s so difficult to find a real good one. Miami couldn’t bring themselves to part with Tua and paid him over 50 million per. Despite the long odds you seem almost convinced we’re going to find our next franchise QB next year.

We’ll be going through a carousel of QBs before we find one as good or better than Dak. Mark my words! The team could take a major hit next off-season with the loss of Dak and DLaw. Plus we’ll be dealing with Parsons likely holdout with him looking for a contract similar to what Dak received a few years ago. Better enjoy this season because things could take a real bad turn for the Cowboys beginning in 2025. You’ll appreciate just making the playoffs after a few years of sitting home.

Every QB we’ve had the past 29 years has failed each time. Dak has given us the most chances to reach a Super Bowl of any QB since Troy Aikman. Too many fans put the entire blame on him. The Cowboys will continue to fail until they build a complete team and continue to have a franchise QB. They’ll struggle to make the playoffs without a franchise QB.
Franchise QBs don’t do 2-5 in the playoffs, getting the boot in the first round.

Dan Marino was 8-10 the playoffs. Dan Fouts was 3-4 and Warren Moon was 3-7. All three were first ballot Hall of Famers. If your team isn’t good enough it doesn’t matter who your QB is.

There is a chance it could be. Either way, I'm not making Dak the highest paid player in the league when he chokes in the playoffs.

If Jerry pays him does that ensure we can win at least 2 games in the playoffs the same year? We're at 0-8 now. In a few months we will be at 0-9. Pay Dak and that means the future brings 0-10, 0-11, 0-12...............

I think KJJ wants Dak to sign for at least 5 more years, to hell with the salary cap, because sooner or later like a blind squirrel he might find a nut.

The odds are whole lot better that it’s going to take longer than a year to find our next franchise QB. If Jerry pays Dak, it will ensure that we have a competitive team that has a chance every year to get over the hump. The Cowboys haven’t won two playoff games in the same year since the 95 season. Aikman spent his last five years not being able to win two playoff games in the same season. What chokes in the playoffs has been the team, primarily the defense. If we don’t pay Dak then you won’t have to worry about losing in the playoffs because we won’t be making the playoffs.
