They say it because that is all they can hang their hats on. Fact is Romo has only one full year as a starter behind him. Anybody who uses that lame argument is just flat out jealous because they know we have a stud Quarterback. Anyone listen to J.T the brick on Fox Sports. I like the guy as a Sports Jockey but he hates the Cowboys.. Calling Romo gutless last year at the playoff loss. I can't wait till he wins his first playoff game this year. I guess these same people don't know football is a team sport and Romo can't do it all himself. He needs people to catch the passes. Yeah, I am looking right at you Crayton!!!!

P.S - Mods please delete the thread of the same topic I created in Members Zone. I accidentally created it in the wrong forum. Thanks.

:welcome: to The Zone.

I didn't see the thread here. I found the one in the Members Zone. Rather than delete it, I merged them.

I hate listening to Fox when they talk about the Cowboys... even Aikman will throw in his negativity about them from time-to-time. I think they must have a contract clause that requires that you trash the Cowboys at least once and hour ;-)

Here are some facts

  1. Romo and Cowboys lost both playoff games by a total of 4 pts - contrast that against some of the beatings that Peyton and the Colts took. Romo and the Cowboys are in good position to turn the page. They just gotta do it.
  2. Romo did not choke in either loss. 1st loss - the bobble was a non QB play that was suspect. 2nd loss the WR's did step up, Giants defense was relentless.... only thing is Romo missed TO for what was sure to be a TD and Crayton didnt do his thing.
  3. He is certainly at a crossroads IMO... the window doesnt stay open forever... yes we can still remain good/great... but other teams get better also and the ball bounces funny sometimes.
The time to win is now..... RIGHT NOW!

I concur, Romo is as good as they come. Peyton Manning would get sacked 5 times a game with our O-line. We shall silence the haters this year and yeah we already crucified Crayton.

Nobody checks the member zone, threads die there:laugh2:

I have one dying there now:D

Romo isn't gutless, but Romo didn't play well and deserves part of the blame. Setalle on the other hand wasn't even priamrily his fault. He needs to step it up in the play-offs. On one of the last drives, where he was called fro the grounding, he had the whole right field I believe to run and make a huge gain. He didn't. On the drive in the first half, he had TO wide-open on a crossing route in the red-zone, but he just threw a dud.

The problem with the Cowboys, in my eyes, is that they don't seem to have that F***, we just missed an opputrunity to capitalize and pull away. They seem to just smirk and laugh it off, thinking that they will be in the same situation once again. The TO miss was one, where Tony just kind of laughed it off. They need that killer attitude, the crush your opponents when their down.

How come Romo hasn't had one of his 3-4 td games in the playoffs? How come Julius had a 100 yard game against Seattle yet everybody on this board thinks hes a piece of crap while Romo played AVERAGE?How come Barber carried us in the first half of last years playoff game while Romo was throwing passes behind TO's head?Romo will get it together i believe but he choked twice. I dont care how anyone tries to spin it. Almost every other player on the team did what they do in the regular season or more. Romo on the otherhand did LESS in the playoffs than he normally does in the regular season.

Tony Romo is almost the last player on this team I worry about (Ware is the last). I think he's about to enter the stratosphere of elite QBs this year.

Romo did not choke in the last playoff game..Are you crazy? That's just stupid to say. The defense choked and Crayton choked..Plus the stupid offsides call on Ware that was a sack...but was called a penalty then the D lets up a TD on the next play. How can you say Romo choked but not even call out the D? Do you even watch football?

The D that gave Romo the ball back 3 times in the 4th quarter to do his "regular season" thing? Gotcha. Giants wiped the smile off Romos face like Antonio Pierce wanted. Where is Aikman's focus when u need it.

You mean the D that spotted that Giants 14 points? Aikmans focus is still on the turf with the TD Pass that crayton and fasano dropped. Guess that was Tonys fault. :banghead:

So sad but so true. This thing is about playing your best when it matters. Can Tony even play CLOSE to his best when it matters? Jeez!
