I'll just go with what Rich Gannon said (who by the way is a great analyst, I highly encourage following his tweets and listening to his podcast)

“I think he’ll be just fine. I think he’ll be a lot smoother in the next game,” Gannon said. “The Commanders definitely can look at that and feel like, ‘We didn’t win. It wasn’t what wanted from the start, but he worked through it, we made it close at the end and we got our quarterback back. Mission accomplished.’ ”

I'm not going to cheer for RG3 but he seems to be a good guy. I don't mind the national exposure for good guys. I don't have to read it or watch it If I was bothered.

Dude, he's one of ours. We know him way better than you. You're just borrowing him. For that matter, we know football better than you because Texas and Florida produce 3/4 of the players in the league.

The Eagles dropped off and played over the top the second half to wind the clock. They didn't know Vick and McCoy would virtually pass out on them in the fourth quarter.

You've got Green Bay next. Say hello to 0-2.

but what does any of that have to do with him being fragile internally? That was the phrase I was questioning. Specifically, what do you mean by that? and what, in his actions Monday Night, showed you cracks in his veneer? That has nothing to do with the Eagles winding the clock or Vick saying "it's going to be a long season" when his coach says they've been practicing like that since April.

We will see what happens. Green Bay is a top level team, and deserves that respect.

Last night was gut wrenching for me.

On one hand I absolutely hate the Eagles more than any other sports team on the planet. I NEVER want to see them win, not even against the Skins.

But I was pleasantly pleased that RG3 didn't come out and look super human. It was a bad game but I'm not going to hold my breath hoping that he plays poorly, at times, the rest of the way cause I don't imagine I'll get that lucky.

I really hate that the Commanders didn't complete the comeback though and beat the Eagles. It's absolutely awful to know that the Eagles won a game.

What really kills me is the Skins repeatedly shotgun blasted themselves in the foot for 2 1/2 quarters. That might have been one of the worst halves the Commanders have ever played...and given the last 20 years, that's saying something.

The back-to-back-to-back turnovers killed the defense. As much as I dislike Haslett, I think they started out ok. The held after the 1st Griffin int and the safety. The Jackson TD was EJ Biggers fault (who will be conceding a lot of playing time to Amerson as the season goes on.) We are starting a 6th round rookie at safety thanks to John Mara. This is not a world beater defense by any means, and the offense did nothing to help out the defense. In the 2nd quarter when they really needed to do something to give the defense a break, they had drives of 3, 4, 3 and 3 plays. Hard for the defense to continue to hold.

It was, however, good to see them chip their way back (no pun intended) and make a game of it. The TD pass to Hankerson to pull within 6 was a thing of beauty, just dropped in over the safety. For all the blathering about how many plays the Eagles ran in the 1st half (53), no one is mentioning they only ran 24 in the 2nd half and did not look the same. They looked tired. The Commanders ended up with 70 total plays--50 in the 2nd half. Dallas ran 74 against the Giants? I don't think the Eagles are going to be able to continue the pace Kelly wants to run all season. But we'll see. I am certainly not looking forward to going to GB. 95% chance we go 0-2.

LOL

Commander fans spent all summer telling us how RG3 was gonna be fine.

He is hurt and they are gonna ruin his career trying to play him.

He should get out of that town as fast as he can.

I love how people keep saying "He's hurt" as if they know his body or they have some inside information.

Great analysis on RG3's game vs the Eagles by Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan on Sirius (which is also where you get the best NFL talk, as I said Ross Tucker has some great stuff as well as does Rich Gannon, pure NFL talk, not the soap opera nonsense)

The good news, according to these guys, is RG3 hit 11 different WR's and apparently only made 1 bad throw/read the entire night out of 49 passes.

Lots to build off for Griffin. Worth a listen just for the good football talk in general

The simple truth is that RGIII without the the threat of the run is not a special QB. I doubt he would've been drafted that high with that limitation.

Eh, we were 3-6 at one point last year.

Based on week 1, this division is being won at 10-6.

Gotta get to 1-2 before you can get to 10-6.

Man, what if your team really didn't turn the corner after all, last season? Can you imagine more years of frustration and cellar-dwelling after that one glimpse of what might have been? I mean, hypothetically? :)

He's an average QB when teams don't respect his ability to run. He will bust out sooner or later. Thank god Luck went to the Colts.

I think Luck will definitely end up being a better QB long-term, though RG3 is an effective weapon for the 'Skins.

That said, he hasn't looked good the last two weeks, and he all but called out his own team post-game today.

Lots of issues going on. RG3 hasn't played well to start the season at all. By no means am I going to bury a 2nd year QB coming off an injury, but I expected much better

I don't think there's any question. I'd trade 2 Griffins and a 1st round pick for the superior Andrew Luck.

This isn't surprising to me. You cannot run that cheap dumbed down gimmick offense your entire career. Sooner or later you have to play big boy QB. He can't do it. At least nowhere near the level of a franchise QB to justify that abortion of a trade.

Oh, and as bad as he's looked the last two weeks it pales in comparison to as bad as he looked the last two games last year. The two biggest games of his pro career so far. Where he looked like Rex Grossman on performance reducing drugs.

He's a media creation.

Seems all 3 of the 2nd year QBs that were drafted last year have started off very slow.

The skins are setting up their fans. When the game matters RGKnee can't do anything. When there is a huge lead all of a sudden he can pass since the defenses ease up. But fans are like look he has thrown for over 600 years, but they don't want to acknowledge that all of his yards are garbage time yards. He is not the same player as last year. I don't care how you cut it, he does not look as quick and fast as he was last year. I will say it again, Cousins will be the starting QB 3 years from now.

One of the guys on one of the post game shows (I cannot remember his name..an ex player though) said he tore his ACL & the next year he was very tentative & scared of reinjuring it.

He said RGIII has had 2 & his opinion was he was brought back too soon.

Huh? What did you hear? I watched him say it was all his fault. We're getting down by a lot of points early, that's my fault. It's all my fault. When did he call out his teammates?
